The Faculty of Islamic Religion of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (FAI UMSU) successfully held the 3rd International Seminar (Annual International Seminar of Islamic Studies (INSIS) in 2022. It was held online Wednesday (23\/02) with the theme “Strengthening Humanity Networks After the Covid-19 Pandemic (Develop Education, Economics, Science and Technology through Islamic Studies Towards a Developed Society after the Covid-19 Pandemic)”.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"FAI<\/a><\/p>\n

This seminar is one of the internationalization forums initiated by FAI UMSU, accredited by A in managing Islamic Religious Education, Early Childhood Islamic Education, Sharia Banking, and Sharia Business Management. It was attended by 675 participants from various countries, including seminar participants and more than 200 call paper participants who would present the paper’s results. This activity will produce scientific works published in proceedings or journals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Officially opened by Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, accompanied by Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum. “Islam is actually a dynamic and progressive religion so that it can deal with contemporary problems faced by society and Islamic studies are very broad in scope,” said Arifin in his introduction regarding Islamic studies, which was the seminar’s topic.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"FAI<\/a>Meanwhile, the Dean of FAI UMSU, Dr.Muhammad Qorib, MA, said that the theme raised at this seminar touched on human values \u200b\u200bin dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. “In the Qur’an, Allah has explained to us about the Al-Insyirah Trilogy that behind the various tests given are hidden various lessons, wisdom, and lessons that can be learned,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the report of the chairman of the committee, Syahrul Amsari SE Sy, M.Si said, “Currently, we have collaborated with five countries, namely Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Brunei Darussalam. We hope that in the future this activity will continue and we can cooperate with countries in Europe or America,” he reported closing the opening ceremony of INSIS 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"FAI<\/a>This seminar was attended by speakers from various countries, such as Prof. Sukree Langputeh, Ph.D. (Thailand), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zain Musa, Ph.D. (Cambodia), Dr. Mohd Hilmy Baihaqy Bin Hj Awg Yussof (Brunei Darussalam), Prof. Associate Dr. Ibrahim bin Hashim (Malaysia), Dr. H. Muhammad Syukri Albani Nasution, MA (Indonesia), Dr. Zailani, MA (Indonesia), Dr. Munawir Pasaribu, MA (Indonesia), Dr. Nurzannah, M.Ag (Indonesia) and Dr. Ellisa Fitri Tanjung, MA (Indonesia).
