The Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan Board of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (BIM UMSU) held a workshop on the Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan curriculum, together with the Research and Development Board of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive Prof. Dr. Sutrisno, MA. It was held for two days, Wednesday \u2013 Thursday (09-10\/03), at the UMSU Postgraduate Hall \u2013 Jl. Denai No. 217, Medan City.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"BIM<\/a><\/p>\n

A workshop was held with the theme “Orientation for Improving the Academic Quality of AIK UMSU Towards Outcomes and MBKM” to increase the quality of the Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) curriculum. BIM UMSU feels the need for a reorientation or revision of the curriculum so that the guidance of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan teachings according to the guidelines of Muhammadiyah Universities in Indonesia and the AIK 1-4 curriculum is applied optimally.<\/span><\/p>\n

This application cannot be separated from the support of the UMSU’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, who doesn’t want the AIK curriculum to be just a sideline.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We appreciate the extraordinary for what BIM UMSU has been trying to do. But, of course, it is not easy to recruit Kemuhammadiyahan lecturers in stages and continue to regenerate. Therefore, learning Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan should not only be a sideline on our campus,” said Prof. Agussani.<\/span><\/p>\n

UMSU BIM Holds Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah Curriculum Workshop. Therefore, Prof. Agussani hopes that Prof. Sutrisno can provide guidance and direction to all BIM UMSU administrators.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We hope that the program compiled by BIM on an ongoing basis can color PTMs throughout Indonesia. We hope that there will be an increase in the quality of human resources in stages,” he continued when opening the activity, which was one of the University’s commitments to improve the quality of education.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, through his report, the Chairman of UMSU BIM, Dr. Nur Rahma Amini, MAg, said that the implementation of the AIK curriculum in UMSU had been around for a long time. For example, mentoring and evaluation have been running correctly, although not optimally.<\/span><\/p>\n

“So, the running of the AIK curriculum is extraordinary, supported by the UMSU’s Rector, who prioritizes AIK learning to be put forward,” said Dr. Amen. He also wanted the drafting team to produce a new syllabus due to the commission that had been heard and recorded from this activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

UMSU BIM Holds Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah Curriculum Workshop After the activity was officially opened by the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Sutrisno as the speaker, provided direction and guidance through the presentation of his material related to understanding the function and importance of the AIK curriculum. According to his presentation, leaders, lecturers, teaching staff, and students at UMSU need to apply the Al-Qur’an and As-Sunnah as life guidelines. The trick is to read, understand and practice it in everyday life.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It’s simple, as long as you focus on the quality standards of AIK given by the Council of Higher Education, Research and Development and AIK, it is applied to students and all campus residents. If all of them use, that’s where togetherness is built and meaningful, “said Prof. Sutrisno.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, the first day of the workshop ended with an explanation by Prof. Sutrisno related to AIK standards that need to be applied by the leadership, lecturers, and teaching staff to students at UMSU.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also present at this activity were Vice Rector I of UMSU Prof. Dr. Arifin Gultom, M. Hum, Kelapa OIF UMSU Dr. Arwin Juli Rakhmadi Butar-Butar MA, 43 AIK UMSU Lecturers, 9 Faculty Delegates throughout UMSU, three delegates from LPK and two representatives from BPM UMSU.
