Muri&#8217;s world record charter for the most rhymes was handed over directly by the Muri representative, Triyono, to the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP. Also witnessed by other Muri representatives, Andre Purwandono, Chair of BPH UMSU, Dr. H. Pantun is an inseparable part of North Sumatra&#8217;s people, consisting of eight ethnicities, especially the Malay culture.<\/p>\n<p>It was explained that UMSU previously succeeded in breaking the Muri world record for observing a solar eclipse with the giant pinhole camera. &#8220;This time, UMSU also broke the Muri world record as a form of love for traditional culture, which is also hoped to motivate millennials not to forget their culture,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Alhamdulillah, the Muri record-breaking event ran smoothly thanks to the support of all parties, including the new students who were enthusiastic about participating in the Muri world record-breaking event,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>While the Chairperson of the 2022 PKKMB Committee, Dr. Rudianto, MSi, said that breaking Muri&#8217;s world record with the most rhymes is a form of love for Indonesian culture. &#8220;To break Muri&#8217;s record, his party made various preparations, including collecting pantun material and distributing it to the new students involved.<\/p>\n<p>The breaking of the Muri record by new students was guided by a team of UMSU students who won the national rhyme competition held by Balai Pustaka. The rhyme guide made the atmosphere of Muri&#8217;s record-breaking lively because it was interspersed with funny rhymes that caused laughter.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/en\/mahasiswa-baru-umsu-pecahkan-rekor-dunia-muri\/web-36\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11858\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-jnews-360x180 wp-image-11858\" src=\"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WEB-36-360x180.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WEB-36-360x180.jpg 360w, https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WEB-36-750x375.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In breaking the Muri world record for the most rhymes, students with more than 1,000 students were divided into two groups with three rhyme categories. The number of rhymes is counted from the event&#8217;s start until it ends with the students. The rhymes read were themed Muhammadiyah congress, education, and UMSUi.<\/p>\n<p>For 2022, as many as 5,007 new students will participate in the PKKMB, which will be divided into four batches starting from 26 to 28 September 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The PKKMB activity was officially opened by the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani MAP, on Monday (26\/9). It was attended by the Bukit Barisan Military Commander I, who was represented by the Head of Territorial Assistant (Aster) Colonel Dedik Eermanto, Leaders of Partner Companies, Head of BPH, Deputy Rectors I, II and III, and faculty leaders within UMSU.<\/p>\n<p>UMSU Rector Agussani expressed his gratitude for implementing offline PKKMB after two years of being held online due to the co-19 pandemic. With these improving conditions, the entire learning process can be done as usual.<\/p>\n<p>Agussani said, More than 5,000 millennials from various regions have chosen UMSU as a university to reach the future. It was the right choice because UMSU was the best tertiary institution in North Sumatra for three consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2021) from L2DIKTI.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, UMSU is a private university with an &#8216;A&#8217; accreditation. Agussani explained that UMSU currently has 3 study programs with Excellent accreditation, 3 with &#8220;Very Good,&#8221; 3 with &#8220;Good,&#8221; 12 with A accreditation, and 17 with B accreditation.<\/p>\n<p>The Rector of UMSU introduced the various facilities and infrastructure owned by UMSU in supporting the educational process. UMSU also has supporting facilities for increasing interest and talent abilities. It was explained that UMSU students won various achievements from competitions at home and abroad.<br \/>\nUMSU is now focusing on developing international cooperation by sharing universities abroad. The Muhammadiyah higher education internationalization program, including UMSU, is now the main program. Cooperation is carried out at the Asean level and in various countries in East Asia and Europe.<br \/>\nRegarding the acceptance of new UMSU students for the 2022-2023 academic year, it was explained that there were 4,746 undergraduate students (non-medical faculty), 261 students in the Faculty of Medicine, 219 students in the Master&#8217;s program and 26 students in the Doctoral Program (S3).
