Over time, processed coffee beans became more versatile, and coffee drinking became more established.

Some people regularly drink coffee in the morning before starting activities.

If drunk in moderation, black coffee provides good bodily benefits, such as improving mood and concentration.

Drinking coffee can have many benefits for the body, for example, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, gout, and several types of cancer. However, if you drink too much coffee, it will be bad for the body.

The following are the terrible effects and dangers of drinking excessive coffee:

1. Increase Stomach Acid

The first danger of drinking excessive coffee is stomach acid. Caffeine in coffee can increase the amount of stomach acid, which irritates the digestive tract, which causes stomach pain and diarrhea, which increases the risk of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), which means an increase in stomach acid in the esophagus, causing burning and burning in the chest and throat.

2. The heart beats faster

After drinking an extra cup of coffee, large amounts of caffeine can cause unwanted heart palpitations in some people. This is because the caffeine in coffee can stimulate the release of the hormone adrenaline, which can cause blood pressure to increase (hypertension) and the heart to beat faster. This forces the heart to work harder to pump blood around the body, which weakens the heart over time.

3. Insomnia

Coffee is often used to relieve drowsiness and increase concentration. However, caffeine in coffee can stimulate the nerves and brain, make a person unable to sleep, cause sleep disturbances at night (insomnia), and feel excessively refreshed, which can shorten sleep time and prevent the body from falling asleep properly. This can cause sleep disturbances such as insomnia.

4. Problems in pregnancy

According to research, women who consume 200 milligrams or more of caffeine per day are twice as likely to have a miscarriage as those who do not consume caffeine.

5. Causes Porous Bones

Large amounts of caffeine can interfere with calcium absorption and metabolism. This can contribute to thinning of the bones (osteoporosis). If you consume too much, caffeine can also cause your muscles to twitch. If you are experiencing caffeine withdrawal, symptoms may include achy muscles.

6. Experiencing anxiety disorders

Caffeine is known for its ability to increase alertness by blocking the effects of adenosine, a brain chemical that causes fatigue in the body. However, large amounts of caffeine can make you jittery. The jitters and anxiety caused by drinking too much coffee are called caffeinism.

7. Fertility disorders occur

Excessive coffee consumption can have harmful effects on the female reproductive organs. Several reproductive health problems, such as fallopian tubes and endometriosis, are caused by excessive coffee consumption. Endometriosis is a disease characterized by tissue growth on the inner surface of the uterine wall outside the uterine cavity. This condition can affect a woman’s fertility.

8. Causes dental problems

Consuming coffee every day also causes dental problems. Namely, the teeth become yellow. This is because the tannins in coffee stick to the teeth and gradually change the color of the teeth. So it is clear that coffee drinkers tend to have more yellow or cloudy teeth than those who rarely drink coffee. Besides tannins, coffee also contains acids that can soften tooth enamel, making it easier for stains and dirt to stick to and blacken teeth.

Dangers of Excessive Coffee Drinking Coffee always has many fans, from young to old.
