A 3rd-semester Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UMSU student embraced Islam after carrying out a martyrdom procession on Friday (8\/12) at the Taqwa UMSU Mosque on Jalan Muchtar Basri No.3 Medan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The pronunciation of the creed by Alisah Lasma Ria Siregar was guided by the KUA Percut Sei Tuan Drs. H. Ismail, M.Si. She came to the UMSU Taqwa Mosque with her biological mother, Dermati Gultom, and her younger brother. She was witnessed by BPH UMSU, Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, Dean of FEB Dr. H. Januri, M.Si, and all college friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

When asked by KUA regarding the beginning of Alisah’s desire to embrace Islam, he said that this desire was present while studying at UMSU.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"“Sincerely from the heart, sir, since studying at UMSU,” Alisah said firmly before saying the creed.<\/span><\/p>\n

UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, who also witnessed the shahada, advised that Alisah’s obligations as a child must still be carried out, and relationships must be established with parents and siblings.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Alhamdulillah, one more of our brothers in faith,” said the Rector of UMSU.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Agussani also noted that in the learning process, Muhammadiyah Universities, especially UMSU, always maintain diversity, even though there are Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah subjects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on the permission of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership to encourage Alisah’s enthusiasm. UMSU provides full scholarships so that they can continue their education and get guidance from lecturers.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Make this a lesson and part of the da’wah carried out at UMSU,” said Prof. Agussani.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, BPH UMSU Prof. Dr. H. Nawir Yuslem, MA, in his tausiyah, said that BPH and the UMSU Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyah Agency (BIM) were very open to Alisah if she wanted to ask questions, discuss and need guidance in carrying out Islamic law.<\/span><\/p>\n

The procession was filled with Tausiyah and closed by giving compassion and gifts to Alisah and her mother.<\/span><\/p>\n
