The General Hospital of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra held a social service and blood donation in commemoration of Muhammadiyah’s 112th Anniversary which took place in the hospital environment on Jalan Mandala, Medan, Monday (18\/11).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>UMSU Rector, Prof.Dr.Agussani, MAP, in his opening remarks expressed his appreciation to the management of RSU Muhammadiyah North Sumatra for the social service and blood donation activities carried out. The activities held in commemoration of Muhammadiyah’s 112th anniversary are very positive as well as a form of commitment to Muhammadiyah’s business charities in providing benefits to the community.<\/p>\n

\u2018The moment of the 112th anniversary of Muhammadiyah is very strategic as proof of Muhammadiyah’s commitment to provide benefits to the country and society,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

He explained that the management of RSU Muhammadiyah North Sumatra was entrusted by PP Muhammadiyah to UMSU since 2018. The hospital’s journey from experiencing difficult times to slowly becoming what it is today is inseparable from the support of all parties.<\/p>\n

\u2018The hospital’s journey from difficult times to gradually managing itself needs to be maximised. The concept of the journey travelled until 2033 is expected to expand the network of community health services, of course, inseparable from the leadership and all hospital personnel staff\u2018\u2019 he said.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Previously, the Director of the hospital, Dr Mohamad Riza, M.Kes, S.H., M.HKes, explained that as a Muhammadiyah business charity under Muhammadiyah University of North Sumateea, it always strives to participate and contribute positively to the community as well as a field of charity and da’wah.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the PMI Medan Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD), Dr Maulana Baihakhi, explained that UMSU is one of the partners in humanitarian, health and educational activities.<\/p>\n

UMSU is also very committed in carrying out cooperation as carried out through social services and blood donation activities at the hospital.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Furthermore, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) appreciates the implementation of blood donation because it is not only beneficial for those in need but also for the health of the donor.
\n\u2018Insha Allah, the blood donated can save the lives of others so it becomes a charity of alms jariyah, as well as will have a health impact on the donor,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

Donors also receive anti-body screening, the results of which will be sent to each donor. The anti-body screening is also intended to ensure that the blood given to the recipient is truly healthy.<\/p>\n

Chairman of PDM Medan City, Ustadz Maulana Siregar, said the social service and blood donation were a form of charity and a reflection of Muhammadiyah as a movement that provides kindness to the community.<\/p>\n

\u2018This activity is part of Muhammadiyah’s commitment to provide benefits to the surrounding community and the country. \u2018All actions are done in the framework of charity and worship,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

The blood donation was planned to meet the target of 112 participants.
