The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (FK UMSU) held its 41st Yudisium<\/em> and physician oath-taking ceremony, celebrating the graduation of 76 students from the Doctor Profession Program. The solemn event was led by UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, on Friday (April 25) at the UMSU Auditorium, Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan.<\/p>\n

In his address, Prof. Dr. Agussani expressed his pride and appreciation for the achievements of the graduates. He highlighted that FK UMSU currently has one of the lowest numbers of exam retakers nationally, with an impressive 90% pass rate in the national medical competency exam (UKMPPD).<\/p>\n

\u201cAlhamdulillah, many of our graduates this year earned GPAs between 3.81 and a perfect 4.00. FK UMSU has the lowest number of retakers in Indonesia, and our UKMPPD success rate has reached 90%,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cUMSU has never dropped below a 70% pass rate. From 2018 to 2025, we\u2019ve produced 1,002 doctors who now serve across Indonesia and abroad,\u201d added Prof. Agussani.<\/p>\n

He reaffirmed UMSU\u2019s ongoing commitment to producing not only academically competent but also morally upright and Islamic-oriented doctors. The university is also focused on aligning its medical faculty with global advancements in health sciences.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently developing a roadmap to upgrade our campus facilities and are pushing toward international accreditation for the Faculty of Medicine,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Prof. Agussani also announced that UMSU will host the 2027 Muhammadiyah Congress (Muktamar Muhammadiyah<\/em>) and requested prayers from graduates and their families for the success of this major event.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the ceremony, FK UMSU Dean, Dr. Siti Masliana, Sp.THT-KL(K), emphasized the faculty\u2019s excellent performance, noting that only 8 out of 3,000 graduates needed to retake the national exam. She also addressed current challenges in the medical profession and urged alumni to uphold the university\u2019s good name.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe physician\u2019s oath is based on the Hippocratic Oath. We hope every graduate maintains ethical conduct and respects their teachers, peers, and patients. This profession is a sacred trust that must be carried with dignity,\u201d she stressed.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the graduates, Dr. Indah Hadiyihidini expressed heartfelt gratitude to all lecturers and especially to the parents. \u201cThis journey has not been easy, and this success is thanks to everyone\u2019s support,\u201d she said with emotion.<\/p>\n

UMSU also asked for continued prayers and support for the university\u2019s planned facility expansion and preparations for the 2027 Congress. \u201cWe acknowledge there is still much to improve, but we remain committed to ongoing progress,\u201d concluded Prof. Agussani.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by UMSU Vice Rector II, Prof. Dr. Akrim, M.Pd; Director of Amri Tambunan Hospital; representatives from partner hospitals including RS Bhayangkara, RS Pringadi, and RS Haji; faculty leadership, lecturers, hospital partners, and the families of the graduates.<\/p>\n
