Rahmat Shah, expressed full support for Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU)&#8217;s internationalization efforts through partnerships with various universities, as well as the successful organization of the Muhammadiyah Congress (Muktamar) 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"703\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-05-05-at-8.14.33-PM-1.jpeg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1\" \/>This statement was made during his visit to the UMSU Integrated Campus, which will also serve as the venue for the Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Muktamar 2027 in Sampali Village, Percut Sei Tuan Sub-district, Deliserdang Regency, on Monday (May 5).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"705\" data-end=\"863\">During the visit, Rahmat Shah directly observed the progress of construction for the 2027 Muktamar venue, which is currently undergoing intensive development.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"1059\">\u201cWe pray for and support the smooth progress of UMSU\u2019s integrated campus development and the Muktamar venue,\u201d said Rahmat Shah, who also serves as the Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1164\">He also revealed that he has facilitated partnerships between UMSU and several universities in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1482\">\u201cAs the Honorary Consul of T\u00fcrkiye, I have recently connected UMSU with several universities in T\u00fcrkiye. God willing, we are also working to attract more Turkish universities to collaborate, so that the grand vision of a comprehensive and successful Muhammadiyah Muktamar in North Sumatra can be realized,\u201d he added.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-05-05-at-8.14.32-PM.jpeg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1658\">He noted that several Turkish universities had already visited UMSU as part of a collaboration exploration during the <strong data-start=\"1602\" data-end=\"1634\">Turkish University Fair 2025<\/strong> held on Friday (May 2).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1871\">\u201cUMSU has signed MoUs with three Turkish universities, and those universities have visited UMSU. This is a major step forward. We will continue to support and promote this collaboration with T\u00fcrkiye,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"2014\">Interestingly, the owner of Siantar Zoo also proposed a fresh idea for campus development\u2014establishing a mini zoo as an educational facility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2016\" data-end=\"2142\">\u201cPerhaps there should be a mini zoo. It would be great for children and educational purposes in animal science,\u201d he suggested.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2144\" data-end=\"2253\">He also praised the rapid progress of UMSU, particularly in the fields of education and research development.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2144\" data-end=\"2253\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-05-05-at-8.14.42-PM-1.jpeg?resize=1024%2C682&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2255\" data-end=\"2536\">\u201cI\u2019m impressed by UMSU\u2019s progress. Perhaps later we can explore downstream palm oil processing here. My impression is that this is truly remarkable\u2014UMSU is now well-equipped and offers world-class education. Our children no longer need to go abroad for quality education,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2538\" data-end=\"2711\">Meanwhile, UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP welcomed the Turkish Consul\u2019s support and considered the visit a meaningful gesture of concern for education in North Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2713\" data-end=\"2918\">\u201cThis visit is truly inspiring. We invited Tun Rahmat Shah, who has facilitated cooperation with Turkish universities, to see firsthand the great strides in education here in Sumatra,\u201d said Prof. Agussani.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2920\" data-end=\"3080\">As the Rector of UMSU and Chair of the Muktamar Committee, he expressed optimism regarding the fast-paced development of the integrated campus for the Muktamar.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2920\" data-end=\"3080\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-05-05-at-8.14.44-PM.jpeg?resize=1024%2C682&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3082\" data-end=\"3380\">\u201cThe preparations have exceeded expectations\u2014we\u2019re working day and night. The progress has already surpassed our targets. God willing, it will be completed and finalized by February 2027. We\u2019re also expecting 50 workers from Yogyakarta to accelerate the completion of the auditorium,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3382\" data-end=\"3463\">He concluded by expressing high appreciation for Tun Rahmat Shah\u2019s contributions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3465\" data-end=\"3646\">\u201cTun Rahmat Shah\u2019s presence is truly extraordinary and serves as a strong motivation for us to continue strengthening international relations in the future,\u201d he said optimistically.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3648\" data-end=\"3808\">The visit concluded with a symbolic durian tree planting ceremony by Rahmat Shah, accompanied by UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, and university leadership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3810\" data-end=\"4249\">Also present were Vice Rector II Prof. Dr. Akrim, M.Pd, Vice Rector III Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, deans from all UMSU faculties, prominent Malay figures such as Prof. Dr. Khairil Anshari, M.Pd, Dr. H. Azizul Kholis, SE, M.Si, M.Pd, CMA, CSRS, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Djohar Arifin Husin, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) H. Muhammad Hasyim, Prof. H. Subhilhar, Ph.D., and religious leaders like Dr. K.H. Amiruddin, M.S., MA, and K.H.
