Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) has officially entered into an international partnership aimed at enhancing and developing education with Edutolia Education and three universities in Turkey.<\/p>\n

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UMSU and Edutolia Education was conducted by UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, M.AP, during the Turkish University Fair 2025 on Wednesday (April 30) at the Adimulia Hotel Ballroom, Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro No. 8, Medan.<\/p>\n
Following that, the MoUs between UMSU and the three Turkish universities were signed by UMSU\u2019s Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, on behalf of the Rector. Edutolia Education is an institution that focuses on strengthening educational relations between Indonesia and Turkey.<\/p>\n
The three Turkish universities involved in the partnership are:<\/p>\n
Kayseri University<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Nev\u015fehir Hac\u0131 Bekta\u015f Veli University<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The MoU signing was witnessed by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Medan, Dr. H. Rahmat Shah, and the CEO of Edutolia, Ibrahim Albayrak, accompanied by the Head of UMSU\u2019s OIC, Rafieqah Nalar Rizky, S.Sos., M.A., and OIC Secretary, Muhammad Syahreza Hafiz, M.Acc.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndonesia needs individuals who are knowledgeable, morally upright, and uphold religious and humanitarian values. Through collaboration, we can share strengths\u2014what Turkey has to offer and what we bring\u2014and compensate for each other’s shortcomings,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, emphasized that this partnership marks a significant step in UMSU\u2019s effort to internationalize its campus and opens up vast opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and academic exchange.
\u201cThis is a key milestone for UMSU to foster an international academic atmosphere and to strengthen global cooperation,\u201d said Prof. Agussani.<\/p>\n
\u201cUMSU is one of the few universities in Indonesia offering a program in Ilmu Falak<\/em> (Islamic astronomy), which holds great potential for collaborative development with international partners, including those from Turkey,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, also noted that UMSU had previously established several international collaborations, including with Turkish universities, and is now expanding its global network.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are delighted to meet with representatives from Turkish universities. At the forum, UMSU also showcased several of its institutional strengths to more than 20 university delegates from Turkey.
