{"id":16815,"date":"2025-06-06T11:33:53","date_gmt":"2025-06-06T04:33:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/en\/?p=16815"},"modified":"2025-06-09T11:37:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T04:37:10","slug":"umsu-slaughters-120-sacrificial-animals-for-eid-al-adha-1446-h","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/en\/umsu-slaughters-120-sacrificial-animals-for-eid-al-adha-1446-h\/","title":{"rendered":"UMSU Slaughters 120 Sacrificial Animals for Eid al-Adha 1446 H"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"149\" data-end=\"383\">The leadership and academic community of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) carried out the slaughter of sacrificial animals in celebration of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijriah on Friday (June 6), across four UMSU campus locations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"844\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-06-06-at-7.12.37-PM-1.jpeg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1\" \/>In total, UMSU sacrificed 120 animals this year, consisting of 70 cows and 50 goats. The slaughtering was conducted at several locations: 46 cows and 20 goats at the Muchtar Basri Campus, 3 cows at the Sampali Integrated Campus, 2 cows at the Postgraduate Campus, 1 cow at the Faculty of Medicine, and the rest in community areas such as Lingkungan 3 and 8 of Glugur Darat II, Kampung Dadap, Jaring Halus Village (UMSU\u2019s outreach community), and at PCM Medan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"1032\">Vice Rector II and Chair of the organizing committee, Prof. Dr. Akrim, M.Pd, conveyed a message from UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, who is currently performing the Hajj pilgrimage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1216\">\u201cAlhamdulillah, this is something we are all grateful for, as the number of sacrificial animals at UMSU continues to grow each year. Last year, we slaughtered 55 animals,\u201d he stated.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-06-06-at-7.12.51-PM.jpeg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1456\">He also expressed his gratitude for the trust and collaboration from Muhammadiyah Singapore, which contributed 5 cows and 50 goats, as well as UMSU&#8217;s partners including PT Telkom, BSI, Bank Muamalat, Bank Mega Syariah, BRI, and PT Kraton.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1458\" data-end=\"1775\">\u201cThe Rector\u2019s message is to ensure that all activities are carried out properly, and we also pray for his health and success in performing Hajj. This reflects our appreciation for our partnerships. Each year, we strive to improve the quality of the sacrificial animals to avoid any dissatisfaction,\u201d said Prof. Akrim.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1777\" data-end=\"1945\">Earlier, Vice Rector III Assoc. Prof. Rudianto highlighted that the Eid al-Adha moment is a collective effort to make sacrifices for the sake of worship and good deeds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1947\" data-end=\"2041\">\u201cInshaAllah, the number of sacrificial animals will continue to increase each year,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1947\" data-end=\"2041\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-06-06-at-7.12.40-PM.jpeg?resize=1024%2C682&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2043\" data-end=\"2335\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/HMS01293.jpg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1\" \/>On this occasion, representatives from Muhammadiyah Singapore were also present at the main campus in Muchtar Basri to witness the slaughter. They contributed five cows and 50 goats, 30 of which were distributed to Muhammadiyah residents in Kampung Dadap, an area surrounding the UMSU campus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2337\" data-end=\"2465\">General Secretary of Muhammadiyah Singapore, Roszanah Binte Abdul Salim, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from UMSU.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2337\" data-end=\"2465\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2467\" data-end=\"2711\">\u201cTogether with the Muhammadiyah congregation from Singapore, we thank UMSU. Today we performed the sacrifice at UMSU and distributed 30 goats to Kampung Dadap. Meanwhile, in Singapore, more than 300 animals are also being sacrificed,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2713\" data-end=\"3090\">Vice Rector II Prof. Akrim, together with Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum, Vice Rector III Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, Faculty Deans, and Heads of UMSU Bureaus, symbolically handed over two sacrificial animals each to residents living near the campus\u2014specifically in Lingkungan 3 and 8 (railway-side) of Glugur Darat II, located behind the main UMSU campus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3092\" data-end=\"3388\">The Head of Lingkungan 3 Glugur Darat II, Syamsul Bahri, expressed his gratitude and well wishes for UMSU:<br data-start=\"3198\" data-end=\"3201\" \/>\u201cAlhamdulillah, we sincerely thank UMSU for this generous donation. UMSU has always shown great concern for its surrounding community. We pray for the continued success of UMSU,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3390\" data-end=\"3653\">Idham Shaputra, a community leader from Lingkungan 8, also shared his appreciation:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3390\" data-end=\"3653\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-06-06-at-7.12.43-PM.jpeg?resize=1024%2C682&amp;ssl=1\" \/><br data-start=\"3473\" data-end=\"3476\" \/>\u201cInshaAllah, the meat from these animals will be distributed to all our residents.
