Jaih Mubarak, S.E., M.H., M.Ag, along with his team, visited Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) for a courtesy visit and to explore potential collaboration. The visit took place on Tuesday (June 3) in the VIP Room of UMSU\u2019s Muchtar Basri Campus, Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"479\" data-end=\"776\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/HMS09896.jpg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1\" \/>Prof. Jaih Mubarak, who traveled from Jakarta, expressed his appreciation for UMSU\u2019s warm welcome. In his remarks, he emphasized the important role of Sharia supervisory boards in promoting financial literacy to the public, in accordance with the mandate of the Financial Services Authority (OJK).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"778\" data-end=\"1012\">\u201cThis is my first time at UMSU. It\u2019s truly impressive\u2014thank you for the warm hospitality. Hopefully, we can collaborate in the future to host programs at UMSU that promote financial literacy and community engagement,\u201d said Prof. Jaih.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1261\">He outlined several potential areas for collaboration, including community service initiatives, entrepreneurship development within the university, scholarship programs, student internships, and tuition payment systems using community-based cards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1417\">\u201cThis collaboration is expected not only to support students\u2019 economic development but also to provide long-term benefits without causing harm,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1419\" data-end=\"1600\">Welcoming the proposal, UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP\u2014represented by Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum\u2014stated his hopes for a fruitful partnership in the future.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1419\" data-end=\"1600\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/MDH00003.jpg?resize=1024%2C683&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1602\" data-end=\"1811\">\u201cWe truly value this meeting. Thank you, Professor, for your presence. We hope to build synergy and mutual support through this collaboration, with each party contributing its strengths,\u201d said the Vice Rector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1813\" data-end=\"2251\">During the meeting, he also introduced UMSU\u2019s highly qualified human resources and reaffirmed the university\u2019s commitment to supporting its faculty in pursuing advanced degrees, particularly at the doctoral level. He also highlighted the university\u2019s Management program, all of which have achieved the highest level of accreditation, and shared plans for UMSU to host the Muhammadiyah Congress (Muktamar) in 2027 at its Integrated Campus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2253\" data-end=\"2524\">Also present at the meeting were Dr. Munawir Pasaribu, S.Pd.I, M.A (Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Islamic Studies), Dr. Hasrudy Tanjung, S.E., M.Si (Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Economics and Business), as well as department heads and bureau chiefs from across UMSU.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sharia Supervisory Board of PermataBank Syariah, led by Prof. Dr. H.
