The Crown Prince of Perlis, DYTM Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra ibni Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, together with his delegation, visited the construction site of the auditorium at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara\u2019s (UMSU) integrated campus in Siintis Village, Deliserdang, on Saturday (Sept 27).<\/p>\n
During the visit, the Crown Prince remarked that the development of the modern auditorium will be a source of pride, especially for UMSU as the host of the 49th Muhammadiyah Congress in 2027. He also emphasized the importance of careful planning to ensure the long-term and sustainable use of the grand facility.
\u201cHowever, I am confident that UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, has already considered the sustainability of this magnificent auditorium beyond the congress,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The Crown Prince expressed his amazement at the \u201cmajor project\u201d (the auditorium), which has now reached 30 percent completion. He hoped that the construction would proceed smoothly and be completed on schedule.

The auditorium, named Berkemajuan<\/em> by the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Leadership, Prof. Dr. Haedar Nashir, M.Si, is designed to accommodate 7,000 people. Next to it, the Walidah Sport Hall\u2014currently under construction\u2014will hold around 3,000 visitors. These two landmark buildings are expected to become symbols of UMSU\u2019s integrated campus and will serve as the venues for the 49th Muhammadiyah Congress in 2027.<\/p>\n As part of the visit, the Crown Prince of Perlis, accompanied by Muhammadiyah Chairman Prof. Dr. Haedar Nashir, M.Si, planted durian seedlings in the multifunctional forest area of the UMSU campus. The tree-planting ceremony symbolized the presence of prominent leaders, government officials, ministers, consuls, and regional heads who visited the Berkemajuan<\/em> Auditorium project.<\/p>\n UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, expressed his gratitude for the Crown Prince\u2019s visit to the integrated campus, which will host the Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Congress.
