{"id":17202,"date":"2025-11-04T19:40:22","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T12:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/en\/?p=17202"},"modified":"2025-11-17T19:42:44","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T12:42:44","slug":"umsu-faculty-of-law-holds-yudisium-ceremony-for-220-graduates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/en\/umsu-faculty-of-law-holds-yudisium-ceremony-for-220-graduates\/","title":{"rendered":"UMSU Faculty of Law Holds Yudisium Ceremony for 220 Graduates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"156\" data-end=\"406\">A total of 220 graduates from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), were officially declared graduates and took part in the Yudisium ceremony held at the Auditorium on Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan, on Tuesday (4\/11).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"408\" data-end=\"737\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-04-at-5.04.18-PM-300x200.jpeg\" \/>The event began with the reading of the Dean\u2019s Decree by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Zainudin, S.H., M.H. The ceremony was formally opened by the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agusani, M.AP., who expressed his pride in the achievements of the Faculty of Law, which he described as one of the university\u2019s main pillars.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"739\" data-end=\"992\">\u201cI extend my highest appreciation to the Faculty of Law, especially for their strong commitment to academic governance, ethics, and teamwork. Such accomplishments are only possible through careful planning and collective dedication,\u201d said Prof. Agusani.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1145\">The Rector also shared the faculty\u2019s recent experience in expanding international collaborations, including a visit to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1414\">\u201cWe have just returned from Universiti Utara Malaysia, where we were warmly welcomed and engaged in discussions with the UUM Faculty of Law. This is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the international recognition of UMSU\u2019s Faculty of Law,\u201d he explained.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-04-at-5.04.18-PM-1-300x200.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1416\" data-end=\"1634\">Prof. Agussani further noted that the Faculty of Law is actively sending students to participate in the International Community Service Program (KKN) in Thailand as part of strengthening cross-border academic networks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1636\" data-end=\"1949\">He also announced a major milestone for the university at the Asian level.<br data-start=\"1710\" data-end=\"1713\" \/>\u201cAlhamdulillah, today we received the news that Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara is ranked 445th in the QS Asia rankings. This is an outstanding recognition and a source of pride for us all,\u201d he stated, followed by warm applause.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1951\" data-end=\"2083\">During the event, the Rector also introduced a new policy offering special benefits for law graduates pursuing postgraduate studies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2085\" data-end=\"2303\">\u201cGraduates of the UMSU Faculty of Law in 2025 who continue their studies in the Master of Law or Master of Notary programs will receive a tuition discount of Rp2,500,000 per semester for three semesters,\u201d he announced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2305\" data-end=\"2442\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-04-at-5.04.20-PM-1-300x200.jpeg\" \/>Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Faisal, S.H., M.Hum., emphasized that graduation is not the end of one\u2019s academic journey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2444\" data-end=\"2622\">\u201cYou have completed your undergraduate studies, but this is not the end. This is the beginning of your journey to truly understand the law as it applies in society,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2624\" data-end=\"2835\">He also introduced the Faculty of Law\u2019s social initiative, the GISMU FAHUM UMSU Charity Movement, in collaboration with Lazismu PDM Medan, aimed at helping underprivileged students and the surrounding community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2837\" data-end=\"3113\">The event was further enlivened by performances from the UMSU Arts and Culture Dance Unit, along with congratulatory video messages from national figures and alumni. In one video, Sugiat Santoso, Deputy Chair of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3115\" data-end=\"3312\">\u201cCongratulations and success for the 2025 UMSU Faculty of Law yudisium. May you all build meaningful careers in the legal field and contribute to a more just and dignified Indonesian legal system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3314\" data-end=\"3504\">Muhammad Najih, S.H., M.Hum., Ph.D., Chair of the Indonesian Ombudsman, also shared a message:<br data-start=\"3408\" data-end=\"3411\" \/>\u201cMay the new graduates of the UMSU Faculty of Law become legal scholars of strong character.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3506\" data-end=\"3833\">Symbolic recipients of the graduation decrees included Nabila Ananda (Criminal Law), Muryani (Procedural Law), Ari Afriandi Depari (Civil Law), Muhammad Dirga Aditya (Business Law), Muhammad Zaki Hanafi (State Administrative Law), Refki Elfitra Zulkarnain Nasution (Constitutional Law), and Rai Mutia Fadla (International Law).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3506\" data-end=\"3833\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-04-at-5.03.45-PM-1024x683.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3835\" data-end=\"4023\">The ceremony concluded with prayers and group photos with university leaders, lecturers, and the graduates\u2014marking the beginning of the professional journey of UMSU\u2019s young legal scholars.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4025\" data-end=\"4380\">The event was attended by members of the UMSU Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Ida Hanifa, S.H., M.H., Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum, heads of departments within the Faculty of Law\u2014including Criminal Law, Civil Law, Procedural Law, Constitutional Law, State Administrative Law, Business Law, and International Law\u2014along with senior lecturers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4025\" data-end=\"4380\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/umsu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-04-at-5.04.17-PM-1-1024x682.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A total of 220 graduates from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), were officially declared graduates and took part in the Yudisium ceremony held at the Auditorium on Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan, on Tuesday (4\/11).
