EducationUSA at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) organized a sharing session on study opportunities in the United States in collaboration with\u00a0Wichita State University<\/span><\/span>, themed\u00a0\u201cNavigating Graduate Programs and Opportunities.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0The event took place in the meeting room at the UMSU campus on Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan, on Thursday (March 12).<\/p>\n

The session was officially opened by Vice Rector III, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudianto, M.Si., and attended by\u00a0Lisa Podolny<\/span><\/span>, Associate Director of Marketing and Finance at Wichita State University,\u00a0Fai Tai<\/span><\/span>, and\u00a0Dimas Firdauz Samudra<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The event aimed to facilitate the exchange of information on study opportunities and academic collaboration.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Vice Rector III Dr. Rudianto introduced UMSU to the guests and participants, emphasizing the university\u2019s openness to global partnerships.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome to UMSU. We warmly welcome the presence of the U.S. Embassy on our campus. We hope this activity will bring benefits for all of us in the future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, U.S. Consulate representative Lisa Podolny expressed her appreciation to UMSU for hosting the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to UMSU for hosting this session. I am pleased to return here and truly appreciate the participants from various universities,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

During the session, she highlighted that Wichita State University is located in the state of Kansas and offers a wide range of academic programs.<\/p>\n

Fai Tai, Associate Director of Marketing and Finance, also introduced the university in more detail. He explained that the campus is strategically located about 15 minutes from the airport and offers diverse academic fields.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur university offers programs in business, engineering, liberal arts and sciences, applied studies, education, fine arts, health professions, as well as innovation and digital fields,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

He also noted that the university provides scholarship opportunities for international students.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe offer scholarships of up to $6,000 per year for eligible students,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

This activity is expected to open broader opportunities for Indonesian students, particularly from UMSU and other universities, to pursue higher education in the United States while strengthening international academic collaboration networks in the future.<\/p>\n

The event concluded with the presentation of an\u00a0ulos<\/em>\u00a0cloth as a symbol of respect and friendship between both parties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
