Chairman of the East Java Regional Leadership of Muhammadiyah<\/span><\/span> (PWM East Java), Sukadiono<\/span><\/span>, who also serves as Deputy for Coordination of Health Quality Improvement at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, handed over a Rp1 billion contribution to support the construction of the Progressive Auditorium Building at the Integrated Campus of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara<\/span><\/span> (UMSU) in Saintis Village, Deli Serdang, on Thursday (May 7).<\/p>\n

The donation was received directly by Chairman of the UMSU Board of Trustees Agussani<\/span><\/span> together with UMSU Rector Akrim<\/span><\/span> and Chairman of PWM North Sumatra Hasyimsyah Nasution<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlhamdulillah, I was finally able to fulfill the invitation from the Rector of UMSU. On this occasion, I would like to convey the mandate from PWM and Muhammadiyah members of East Java, who have contributed Rp2 billion in total \u2014 Rp1 billion for the UMSU integrated campus and Rp1 billion for the construction of the SPPG facility in Langkat,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Prof. Sukadiono expressed his happiness at finally being able to visit and witness the progress of preparations for the Muhammadiyah Congress in North Sumatra, although his schedule had long been constrained by intensive ministerial duties.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am delighted to finally be here and witness the development of this extraordinary complex,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

On the same occasion, the Chairman of PWM East Java also shared insights and strategies for developing Muhammadiyah charitable and educational enterprises, which have made PWM East Java one of the most successful regional branches.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe key lies in consolidation and acceleration across all Muhammadiyah enterprises, including hospitals, schools, and other institutions,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

PWM East Java is known as one of the largest Muhammadiyah regional organizations in terms of asset ownership, managing dozens of hospitals, schools, universities, and other charitable enterprises.<\/p>\n

Regarding his impression of the auditorium, sports hall, and hospital facilities under construction, Prof. Sukadiono described them as extraordinary achievements. According to him, the grandeur of the buildings reflects Muhammadiyah\u2019s progressive identity, in line with the name Progressive Auditorium<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI see the auditorium and sports hall, integrated with the mosque, as truly exceptional. The structure appears as strong and magnificent as the Suramadu Bridge. What makes it even more remarkable is the integrated concept designed specifically for the Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Congress,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He also expressed appreciation to the Congress Organizing Committee led by Agussani<\/span><\/span>, PWM North Sumatra, and UMSU Rector Akrim<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, UMSU Rector Akrim<\/span><\/span> stated that the assistance provided was highly meaningful, adding that the Muhammadiyah Congress has become a blessing for UMSU because the integrated campus infrastructure development also supports the university\u2019s vision of becoming an internationally recognized institution.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for the contribution and continuous support for the construction of the auditorium and sports hall, especially amid global geopolitical dynamics that have created significant challenges,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

A similar statement was delivered by Chairman of the UMSU Board of Trustees Agussani<\/span><\/span>, who noted that construction material prices continue to rise due to ongoing global conflicts.<\/p>\n

Prof. Agussani also stated that, as Chairman of the Congress Organizing Committee, he has learned a great deal from East Java\u2019s experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cEast Java\u2019s experience as a previous host of the Muhammadiyah Congress is truly remarkable and can serve as an inspiration. East Java has also become a benchmark for the advancement of Muhammadiyah charitable enterprises,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Chairman of PWM North Sumatra Hasyimsyah Nasution<\/span><\/span> added that PWM East Java has become a model in managing Muhammadiyah enterprises in the fields of education, healthcare, economy, and social development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thank PWM East Java for this generous contribution. At the same time, PWM North Sumatra warmly invites Muhammadiyah members from East Java to attend the 2027 Muhammadiyah Congress in North Sumatra,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

During the visit to the integrated campus, Sukadiono<\/span><\/span> also had the opportunity to plant a durian tree on the campus grounds.<\/p>\n

The event was also attended by Deputy Chairman of PWM East Java Hidayatur Rahman<\/span><\/span>, Chairman of MDMC East Java M.
