UMSU Faculty of Law Lecturers Carry out PKM in Bagan Deli<\/p>\n
Medan, – Lecturers of the Faculty of Law, Universitas of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (Fahum UMSU) Dr. Zainuddin, SH, MH and Faisal Riza, SH, MH carried out Community Service activities in the 2021 UMSU internal Community Partnership Program (PKM) in Bagan Deli, Medan Belawan.<\/p>\n
Also participating in this activity were Fahum UMSU student Nico Faiz and Fahum alumni Ahmad Fauzi Sibarani, SH, MH, and Muhammad Khadafi, SH.<\/p>\n
Faisal Riza explained that what was discussed in the activity carried out with the Youth Community partners in Bagan Deli was related to how to prevent fisheries crime through the prevention community group (Pokmasgah).<\/p>\n
“It is hoped that with the existence of Pokmasgah, criminal acts in the fisheries sector can be minimized. Preventing is better than taking action because if taking action means that the criminal act has already occurred, but if taking prevention means that it is done before the criminal act occurs,” said Fasal Riza.<\/p>\n
Then Zainuddin added that through this activity, his party hopes that the community, especially fishermen, will protect and preserve the sea because the sea is a yard for fishermen to carry on family life.<\/p>\n
“Do not violate the law in fisheries and marine activities. It will harm the fishing community in the future,” he hoped.<\/p>\n
