The Rector of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Agussani M.AP attended the 2022 International Summit on Knowledge Advancements (ISKA), which the University of Muhammadiyah Malaysia held in Perlis, Malaysia. “The presence of UMSU to participate in the 2022 International Summit on Knowledge Advancements (ISKA) and the International Conference on Global Business and Economics is a commitment towards a world-class university and is also a form of implementation of the cooperation that has been built between UMSU and UMAM,” Monday (22/8).
He mentioned, at the international conference meeting held by UMAM in Perlis Malaysia on August 22-23, 2022, the Chancellor of UMSU was accompanied by the Vice Chancellor II, Prof. Akrim MPd, Director of Postgraduate Prof. Dr. Triono Eddy SHMHum. Assistant Postgraduate Deputy. Prof. Dr. Fitra jambak, ST, MT, Dean of FAI Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qorib, MA, and Secretary of the Office of International Affairs and Cooperation (OIC) UMSU Mhd. Shareza Hafiz, M. Acc.
UMSU’s involvement in international meetings is part of the consortium’s activities and programs to realize the goal of making an international-class university compiled in the 2033 roadmap. The International Summit on Knowledge Advancements 2022 was opened directly by Raja Perlis Malaysia HRH Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalillail and attended by the General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Prof. Haedar Nasir M.Si, Secretary of Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed, Treasurer Drs. Mar Puji Ali., M.Si, Vice Chairman Drs. HA Dahlan Rais, M. Hum, Chairman of the Diktilitbang Council Prof. Lincolin Arsyad M.Sc., Ph.D., Rector of UMAM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Waluyo Adi Siswanto, as well as several other PTM leaders.
While Prof. Dr. Akrim M.Pd said that for the International Conference on Global Business and Economics, UMSU sent six lecturers to become international speakers. The six presenters were four lecturers from the Faculty of Islamic Religion and two lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Participants and paper titles namely; Dr. Cut Novita Srikandi, M. Hum, entitled “Integrating Feminist Pedagogy through Teaching Religious Literature in Religion-Based University,” Dr. Khairun Niswa, M.Hum entitled “Communication for ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) students at SLB Aisyiyah Deli Serdang, Mavianti, MA with the paper “The Pragmatic of Islamic Approach In Vocational Education on Work-Based Learning In Indonesia”.
Furthermore, Dr. Abd Rahman, Zuliana, S.Pd.I., M.Pd., with the paper “The Implementation of Tartil Method in Aisyiyah Members in Reading the Quran.” M.Pd. with the article “The Application of the Fahim Quran Method in Improving The Quality of Memorization of the Koran at the Elementary School Plus Jabal, and Ahmad Afandi, MM with the paper “Strategy Recommendations To Improve Quranic Literacy In Southeast Aceh Regency Based on SWOT Analysis.”
