Postgraduate of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara Program (PPs UMSU) held a Public Lecture Welcoming New Students for Odd Semester 2022-2023 Academic Year in the Campus Hall on Jl Denai 217 Medan, Saturday (22/10/2022).
The Public Lecture was opened by the Rector represented by Vice Rector I, Prof.Dr. Muhammad Arifin, SH. M Hum. The Public Lecture presented the sole speaker, the Head of the PPSDM Ministry of ATR-BPN, Dr. Agustyarsyah D.SiT, SH, with the theme: “Land as a Primary Need & Policy in the Era of Revolution 4.0.”
In his remarks, Prof. Arifin said that the orientation of higher education today is very different from what was valid in the past.
“Many regulations issued by the Ministry governs today’s higher education. Furthermore, of course, we must comply with these rules,” he said.
He revealed that these regulations regulate the student’s study period. Previously, there was no limit to the length of time you study, but now it has been regulated in such a way and strictly by the Ministry.
“It is important for us to remind you that the orientation of ladies and gentlemen entering UMSU is really to study, complete their studies on time, and not to play games,” he said.
Meanwhile, UMSU’s Postgraduate Director, Prof. Dr. H Triono Eddy SH MHum, said UMSU postgraduates continue to strive to improve the quality of educational services. This is in line with the determination to produce human resources capable of taking a strategic role in the development and progress of the nation.
“UMSU Postgraduate is committed and strives to improve the quality of education through various strengthening programs to realize the vision, mission, and goals,” said Prof. Triono.
According to him, his party is constantly upgrading and adapting to the times. Postgraduate continues to be committed to improving services, especially in students’ academic fields.
Previously, the Chairperson of the Assoc Committee, Prof Dr. Adi Mansar SH MHum, submitted a report regarding the implementation of the PKKMB, which was marked by a public lecture with the theme “Land as a Primary Need & Its Policy in the Era of Revolution 4.0”.
“We chose this theme on purpose because philosophically, the land is a primary need, so everyone needs it,” said Adi Mansar.
Meanwhile, the Head of PPSDM, Dr. Agustyarsyah D. SiT, in his general lecture material, explained the basics of land law in Indonesia in a straightforward manner.
He explained, in welcoming Indonesia Gold in 2045, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has a role in improving the nation’s economy through registration of all land parcels in the archipelago.
The Ministry of ATR/BPN also strives to improve the quality of land services to make them faster, more efficient, and transparent. To improve land services, the Ministry of ATR/BPN opens opportunities for student participation through the ATR/BPN Merdeka Learn Campus Program (MBKM)
