The theme of this year’s Congress is “Advancing Indonesia, Enlightening the Universe”. This theme contains two phrases. The first phrase, “Advancing Indonesia” which means there are four meanings.
First, Muhammadiyah asserts itself as part of Indonesia. In other words, Muhammadiyah recognizes the existence of the Indonesian state as one country.
Second, Muhammadiyah has a responsibility in history as participating in establishing the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, formulating the basis of the state, and upholding state sovereignty.
Third, Muhammadiyah sees that there are many things in this country that require them to be more present. This is because Muhammadiyah sees many problems experienced by the Indonesian nation, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.
