Boyolali: Thousands of students from Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle School to Vocational Schools took part in the taaruf parade to welcome the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah, which was held in Andong District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Wednesday.

The taaruf parade was held by the Andong District Muhammadiyah Branch Manager (PCM) by presenting various local cultural arts with the route from the Ampera Andong field around the sub-district road to returning to the Andong field.

According to the parade committee, Kamtar, PCM Andong, at the welcoming ceremony for the 48th Muktamar Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah in Surakarta, held a tabligh agung, then held the work of Muhammadiyah students’ students and then continued the taaruf parade.

The activity was attended by around 3,500 students and students from Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, and Vocational Schools in Andong District. Parade participants presented various local art and cultural concepts while introducing the public to the Muhammadiyah Conference in Solo from 18 to November 20.

Parade participants wore various costumes, including drum band troops, troops carrying posters of “Happy and Successful Congress,” umbrella participants, participants carrying flowers, and cycling and odong-odong vehicles. Finally, the traveling participants crossed Jalan Kacangan Village and Mojo Village back to the Ampera Andong field, about 2 kilometers away.

At the Tabligh Akbar event, which was held previously, it was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of the Boyolali Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM), H. Jamhari Harap.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the Boyolali Regency PDM, H. Jamhari Harahap, said the Taaruf parade was held in Andong to welcome the Congress in Solo. This activity is a follow-up to instructions from the Central Executive of Muhammadiyah.

“There were many activities carried out at Andong Boyolali, including a ta’aruf parade, cycling, health walks, and recitations to enliven the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah, which was centered at UMS,” said Jamhari.

The plan is to open the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, on November 19, with attendees from all over Indonesia. Boyolali’s readiness to support and succeed the Congress in each branch has prepared them to lodge for cheerleaders.

In preparation for the muktamirin, a simulation was carried out at UMS, and it went smoothly, including 11,000 Boyolali cheerleaders were prepared.

The Head of Kacangan Village, Adong Sudarsono, said his party fully supports the taaruf parade. He hopes to appreciate the diversity of religions further. Hopefully, in the future, we will be more advanced in da’wah through the Muhammadiyah movement.*
