20 Faperta UMSU Students Do International PKL at MARDI Malaysia
A total of 20 students of the Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Muhammdiyah Sumatera Utara participated in International Field Work Practice (PKL) activities at the Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) Malaysia.
The presence of the students, who were accompanied by faculty leaders, on Monday (11/9) was welcomed by Mardi Malaysia. This activity is a follow-up to the previous cooperation agreement signed by both parties.
MARDI (The Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute) is a Malaysian institute of agricultural research and development that has produced new plant varieties and agriculture technology for Malaysia.
The arrival of 20 students consisting of Agrotechnology, Agribusiness, and Agricultural Product Technology study programs was accompanied by the Dean of Faperta UMSU Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dafni Mawar Tarigan, S.P., M.Si. and three accompanying lecturers, namely Hadriman Khair, S.P., M.Sc.; Misril Fuadi, S.P., M.Sc and Rini Susanti, S.P., M.P. Welcomed Encik Kamarul Anuar bin Ismail, Director of MARDI Corporate Communication Center and Directors and Lead Directors of MARDI Center.
In the meeting at MARDI, both institutions agreed to continue international cooperation, such as joint research, international conference collaboration, and other international activities. In November 2023, the MARDI Team will participate in training at Faperta UMSU related to medicine plants.
