Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) won 17 awards at the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) reporting Award for private universities in the North Sumatra Region 1 LLDikti Environment.
LLDikti North Sumatra held the SPMI reporting awardday (15/1) at the JW Marriott Hotel Jl. Putri Hijau No.10, Kesawan. A total of 17 awards were won, with UMSU winning the most and being the SPMI Award’s overall champion in 2023.
The Award was handed over directly by the Head of LLDikti Region 1 North Sumatra, Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D. received by UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, and Vice Rector III Dr. Rudianto, M.Si witnessed by all PTS leaders in North Sumatra.
Head of LLDikti Region 1 North Sumatra Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D., appreciated UMSU’s achievement as a university that won many awards at the SPMI reporting Award in 2023.
“Hopefully, this Award can motivate all private universities in North Sumatra, and those who have not received an award can be motivated to improve their SPMI accreditation and reporting. At present, congratulations to UMSU for dominating the Award, “said the Head of LLDikti.
A total of 17 awards, namely 1st place in the best cooperation category, 1st place in the implementation category, 1st place in the control category, 1st place in the SPMI improvement category and 13 champions in the superior study program category.
Buying awards from various categories, UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the collective work between leaders and institutions at UMSU.
“Alhamdulillah, this is certainly an annual agenda for private universities in North Sumatra, which can be used as motivation to prepare for such intense competition. thank you, LLDikti, for strengthening private universities in North Sumatra,” said Prof. Agussani.
In addition, he said this achievement was part of good progress, but not the end of a process but the beginning of facing future challenges.
“I am sure there will always be other better achievements in the future,” said the UMSU Rector optimistically.
Previously, UMSU had defended the overall title of Monev’s best private university in the North Sumatra LLDIkti version for three consecutive years, namely 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Seven private universities support this activity: UMSU, UNPRI, ITSI, Institut Kesehatan Deli Husada Deli Tua, Medistra Lubuk Pakam, Stikes Mitra Husada Medan, and Stikes Assyifa Kisaran.
SPMI aims to select and improve the quality of sustainable private universities, carried out internally to realize the vision and mission of higher education and meet the needs of PTS stakeholders.
