A total of 8 students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) will take part in the Student Mobility programme for five months at INTI University Malaysia from January to May 2025.
All participants of the programme were released directly by the Rector of UMSU Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP represented by WR III Assoc. Prof. Dr Rudianto, M.Si on Thursday (2/1) at the VIP Room of the UMSU Campus on Jalan Muchtar Basri No.3 Medan.
At this release, UMSU Vice Rector III Dr. Rudianto congratulated and advised all students who passed this programme.
‘Congratulations to the 8 UMSU students who will leave for INTI University Malaysia in Nilai. We hope that this programme will add a series of activities and extraordinary experiences for friends,’ he said.
Dr Rudianto said that this programme is very special, students will study for one semester and get an extraordinary international experience.
‘Make this experience to gain international experience. Don’t make this activity just to complete academics, but enjoy the international vibes and look for networking,’ said WR III UMSU.
He also said that currently, every student needs several things, namely new skills, international experience, new networking jobs.
WR III also hopes that students can show their character and characteristics as Indonesian people, namely being easy to help and honest.
Previously, PIC porgramme and representative of OIC UMSU, Eri Yanti NST, S.E., M.Ec said that the 8 students consisted of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) and Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FIKTI).
‘This programme is not only about academic training, the students will be involved in community service activities,’ said Eri Yanti.
Then, participant representative Tasha Devana Febiola (FEB) expressed her gratitude to UMSU,
‘This is an extraordinary opportunity for me to go abroad, get academic benefits, and the best experience. Thank you UMSU for being very supportive and UMSU for realising our dreams,’ she said enthusiastically.
Not only that, Anwar Ismail, FEB International student, also expressed his appreciation. ‘This programme not only focuses on academics, but also supports self-development. I will implement this experience in my organisation and among my friends,’ he said.
This programme is one of UMSU’s concrete steps in developing internationally competitive students. In the future, UMSU hopes to continue to improve and expand this student exchange programme so that more students can benefit.
