Prof. Jaih Mubarak, who traveled from Jakarta, expressed his appreciation for UMSU’s warm welcome. In his remarks, he emphasized the important role of Sharia supervisory boards in promoting financial literacy to the public, in accordance with the mandate of the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
“This is my first time at UMSU. It’s truly impressive—thank you for the warm hospitality. Hopefully, we can collaborate in the future to host programs at UMSU that promote financial literacy and community engagement,” said Prof. Jaih.
He outlined several potential areas for collaboration, including community service initiatives, entrepreneurship development within the university, scholarship programs, student internships, and tuition payment systems using community-based cards.
“This collaboration is expected not only to support students’ economic development but also to provide long-term benefits without causing harm,” he added.
Welcoming the proposal, UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP—represented by Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum—stated his hopes for a fruitful partnership in the future.
