Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) Rector Prof. Dr. Akrim, M.Pd. officially presented the Letters of Appointment to the newly appointed Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs within the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) during a ceremony held on Friday (June 12) in the VIP Room of the UMSU Main Campus on Muchtar Basri Street No. 3, Medan.
Among the newly appointed academic leaders are Masta Sembiring, S.E., M.Ak., who was appointed Head of the Tax Policy and Management Study Program, and Dr. Muhammad Andi Prayogi, S.E., M.Si., who was appointed Head of the Digital Business Study Program.
The establishment of these two new study programs expands the range of academic offerings within the Faculty of Economics and Business and reflects UMSU’s commitment to meeting the evolving demands of industry and the digital economy.
The appointment ceremony also marked the official opening of student admissions for both newly established programs.
In addition to the newly appointed program heads, the Rector reaffirmed the leadership of the faculty’s existing study programs:
- Agus Sani, S.E., M.Sc. – Head of the Management Study Program
- Arif Pratama Marpaung, S.E., M.M. – Secretary of the Management Study Program
- Nabilla Dwi Agintha, S.E., M.Sc. – Head of the Accounting Study Program
- Muhammad Firza Alpi, S.E., M.Si. – Secretary of the Accounting Study Program
- Dr. Sylvia Vianty Ranita, S.E., M.Si. – Head of the Development Economics Study Program
The appointment of the new academic leadership is expected to strengthen the governance and academic quality of the Faculty of Economics and Business while supporting UMSU’s strategic vision of producing graduates who are innovative, globally competitive, and responsive to the rapidly changing economic and technological landscape.
