What is protection for animals?
Animals are creatures created by God that have various types and different features. Unlike humans, animals have limited intelligence. Animals only act on instinct and cannot think like humans.
However, many humans act more than animals. Humans commit violence on purpose. Those who use violence only to entertain themselves. Especially in this digital era. Many individuals or groups exploit animals and exhibit them on social media accounts, and they are aware of their actions which are not good.
They do this out of a drive or desire for fame and self-satisfaction. Therefore the government created laws related to the protection of animals. The following is an explanation of animal protection.
Animal protection article
Article 302 of the Criminal Code (Punished with a maximum imprisonment of three months or a maximum fine of four thousand five hundred rupiahs for committing minor mistreatment of animals)
Article 92 Government Regulation No. 95 of 2012 concerning Veterinary Public Health and Animal Welfare (In this Government Regulation, what is meant by: 1. Veterinary Public Health is all matters related to Animals and Animal products which directly or indirectly affect human health.)
Article 66 Law no. 18 of 2009 concerning Animal Husbandry and Animal Health (Livestock and animal health can be carried out throughout the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia which is carried out separately and through integration with the cultivation of food crops horticulture, plantations, fisheries, forestry or other related fields. )
Article 406 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code (Anyone who intentionally and unlawfully destroys, damages, renders unusable or loses goods which are wholly or partly belonging to another person, is punishable by a maximum imprisonment of two years and eight months or a maximum fine of four thousand five hundred rupiahs)
Government Regulation no. 7 of 1999 concerning the Preservation of Plants and Animals (Preservation is an effort to protect the diversity of plant and animal species and their ecosystems inside and outside their habitat from extinction. 2. Preservation of plant and animal species outside their habitat is an effort to maintain the diversity of plant and animal species so they do not go extinct.)

Sanctions against violence against animals
Three months imprisonment or a fine of IDR 45,000,000
nine months imprisonment or a fine of IDR 3000,000.
Not only will they get punished legally, but perpetrators of violence against animals will get bullying by the community.
