Rector of Muhammadiyah Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP handed over the 2022 UMSU Press author royalties at the BI Corner UMSU, Thursday (21/4).
According to him, the delivery of these royalties should be grateful and proud of UMSU Press’s achievements.
Prof. Agussani also added that the success of UMSU Press was an integral part of the university’s success. The hard work done by UMSU Press to build a superior campus is also accompanied by the achievements of UMSU Press to date.
Prof. In particular, he expressed his appreciation to the Head of UMSU Press, Muhammad Arifin, MPd. According to him, Arifin has good managerial skills and can gather and organize existing human resources to work together. Even through his hard work, the UMSU Library won the best title.
Agussani also hopes lecturers, especially in the UMSU environment, will be active in writing. “Every lecturer and fellow lecturer must motivate each other to enjoy what we have done today (writing),” he said.
To the writers, Agussani expresses his gratitude and appreciation to the writers who receive royalties and passes on his enthusiasm and tips for writing to his colleagues in the profession.

Head of UMSU Press, Muhammad Arifin, MPd, said that the recipients of royalties rose sharply from 16 people in 2021 to 51 people in 2022. From 210 books sold in 2021 to 1143 books sold in 2022. Meanwhile, royalties in 2022 amounted to IDR 27 million from 10 modes of sales.
Dr. Mohd Yusri admitted that he was pleased to be able to publish a book at UMSU Press because he received royalties and transparent reporting.
