The research team from the University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) attended the second workshop, which also discussed the Matching Grant collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Universitas 17 Agustus (UNTAG), and FAB Enterprises. The workshop occurred over two days, Wednesday to Thursday (June 21-22), at Universiti Malaysia Perlis.
This activity serves as one of the implementations of the cooperation between UMSU and UniMAP. It is also a follow-up workshop that discusses the progress report of the Matching Grant and research-related publications. Previously, the first workshop was held at Universitas 17 Agustus, Surabaya.
The current Matching Grant has the theme “Leveraging Interactive Digital Technology and Virtual Learning Spaces in Enhancing Motivation Participation and Achievement Parameters in Collaborative Online Classrooms.”
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Ir. Dr. R. Badlishah Ahmad, the Project Leader of UniMAP. It was followed by presentations on the research outcomes from each university, starting from the UniMAP team, followed by UMSU and UNTAG.
“The Matching Grant started in September 2021 and ended in March 2023, but it has been extended for an additional 6 months until September 2023,” explained Dr. Dewi, the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Education at UMSU and the Project Leader in the research team.
The extension aims to increase the number of articles for each university and publish them in Scopus-indexed scientific journals.
The research teams from each university were present, including the UMSU research team led by Dr. Dewi Kesuma, M.Hum, as the project leader, along with Dr. Zainal Azis, M.M., M.Si, Dr. Faisal R Dongoran, M.Si, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Leylia Khairani, M.Si, Dr. Nurzannah, M.Ag, and Rafieqah Nalar Rizky, M.A. Additionally, the UniMAP research team consisting of Prof. Ir. Dr. R. Badlishah Ahmad, Dr. Sharmini Abdullah, TS. Dr. Wan Zuki Azman, and the UNTAG research team with Dr. Pariyanto, M.Ed, Intan Dzikria, S.Kom., M.IM., P.hD, Sayidah Aulia Ul Haque, M.Psi, and Amalia Nurul, S.Ikom., M.A., were also present at the workshop.
