UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, gave appreciation for the performance of the North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi, Friday (29/12) in the context of Review 2023 and Outlook 2024 at Poldasu Jl. Sisingamangaraja Km. 10.5 No. 60, Timbang Deli.
Prof. Agussani, invited directly by the Kapolda, said that during his six months in office in 2023, the Kapolda reduced the crime rate and uncovered various cases related to legal drugs that concerned the community.
“The promise of the North Sumatra Police Chief to create a safe and comfortable public space at the beginning of his tenure, the results are proven. The impact, in addition to a sense of security, triggered the stretching of the North Sumatra economy to above the national average growth, “said the Rector of UMSU.
In addition, Prof. Agussani said he welcomed the synergy between the North Sumatra Police and UMSU in creating a safe and comfortable space in North Sumatra.
“Seeing the current conditions, I am optimistic that Kamtibmas and the North Sumatra situation will be conducive to welcoming two major events in 2024, starting from the Presidential Election and Pileg, including the Simultaneous Pilkada and PON 2024,” said Prof. Agussani.
