The Postgraduate University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) established cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (Mo). This signing also carried out the Academic Visiting Program to Vietnam initiated by the Indonesian Accounting Lecturer Association (ADAI), which was held on Tuesday-Saturday (9-13/1).
Postgraduate UMSU sent several lecturers, namely Prof. Dr. Widia Astuty, S.E., M.Si., QIA Ak CA CPA (UMSU Master of Accounting Lecturer), Dr. Adi Mansar, S.H., M.Hum (Head of UMSU Kenotariatan Department), Rahmanita Ginting, Ph.D. (Head of UMSU Communication Science Department), Hazmanan Khair, Ph.D (Head of UMSU Master of Management Department), Dr. Ida Nadira, S.H., MHum (Secretary of Master of Law Science UMSU), Dr. Maya Sari, S.E AK M.Si CA (Secretary of Master of Accounting UMSU), Dr. Fajar Pasaribu, M.M (Secretary of Master of Management UMSU), and Dr. Onny Medaline, S.H., M.Kn (Lecturer of Master of Kenotariatan).
The group departed from Kuala Namu International Airport (KNIA) on Tuesday (9/1/2023). After a few hours of transit at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (BUIKL), the trip continued to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.
Prof. Widia Astuti explained that this Academic Visiting Program benefits the entire postgraduate community by building cooperation and developing international networking with campuses abroad.
“We attended the International Conference to develop the MBKM program and had the opportunity to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a campus in Vietnam, namely Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF),” said Prof. Widia Astuty.
In addition, she said this program was instrumental in supporting the accreditation of study programs, faculties, and universities. Then, UMSU Postgraduate lecturers also had the opportunity to conduct International Community of Understanding (International Community Service) activities.
“The location we chose for International Community Service activities is the Jamia Al-Musulman Mosque, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam,” he concluded.
