Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) held an event with the theme ‘Digital Creative Class: Get Profits from SEO Writing and Blogs’ to accelerate digitalization. We are presenting three speakers who are experts in the world of SEO, Copywriting, Blogs, and Influencers.
Digital Creative Class was marked by the signing of the MoU between UMSU and Telkomsel. The signing of the MoU was carried out by the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by the Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, and Fahmi Rojali as General Manager of Mobile Segment GTM Sumatra Area, PT Telkomsel, Wednesday (10/1) at the UMSU Auditorium, Muchtar Basri Street No.3 Medan.
The Digital Creatif Class event was opened directly by UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, who was represented by WR III UMSU Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, and attended by 400 students from across UMSU faculties.
In his opening, Dr. Rudianto appreciated implementing the event belonging to Gen Z and Gen Alpha. He said digital is the world of the current generation to master civilization in the future.
“We only provide a hook for our children to use in the future, preparing the Gen Z, whose world is filled with technology,” said Rudianto.
He also advised that students must continue to learn to maximize technology, not only as a tool but also as a tool with positive content for a better human civilization. Then, WR III UMSU expressed his gratitude to Telkomsel for supporting this event so that cooperation was established.
“Hopefully, the MoU that has been signed can be continued with future events to build UMSU students who can master technology,” said WR III.
Previously, the Head of the UMSU Public Relations and Protocol Bureau, Dr. Ribut Priadi, S.Sos., M.I.Kom, reported that this event was a trigger to support the development of digitalization at UMSU. They were providing knowledge to students in utilizing the media in terms of its positive side to build a more progressive Indonesia.
Then, the GM of Telkomsel, Fahmi Rojali, appreciated this activity and said that Telkomesl would only be the sixth company in the world with educators.
“I don’t believe that you are the rebahan. You are our successors in Telkomsel. Believe that it is not the big ones who will beat the small ones, but believe the fast ones who beat,” said GM Telkomsel.
Furthermore, the event was guided by Arif Hamdani Margolang, M.I.Kom, as the moderator and filled with sharing seasons by Ririn Wandes, S.Pd Blogger and Influencer practitioner, Yoshida Sary, SE, S.Kom., M.Kom SEO Writing practitioner and academician and Amrullah, S.Kom., M.Kom as Adsense Blogger and UMSU IT team.
Each resource person provides tips and strategies for creating social media content or blogs. The activity took place interactively and actively, as seen by the number of students who enthusiastically asked the speakers various questions.
