FISIP UMSU Lecturers Conduct BUMDes Management Training in Langkat
Medan: Lecturers of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (FISIP UMSU) carried out Community Service (PKM) in Sejambu Hamlet, Sekoci Village, Besitang District, Langkat Regency, Wednesday (16/6).
The implementation of this activity includes BUMDes management training activities by Dra. Hj. Yurisna Tanjung, M.AP and social media marketing training for marketing Sekoci Orange innovation products by Sigit Hardiyanto, S.Sos, M.I.Kom. Sekoci Village BUMDes Managers, Sekoci Village Farmers Group, Sekoci Village Youth Organization, and Sekoci Village PKK attended this activity.
Yurisna Tanjung explained that Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages is a milestone that is a means for the government to advance the village through the Village Fund and Village Allocation Fund.
“The development of village potential by the ability and authority of the village is part of the village autonomy instrument by involving the community in the management of BUMDes to improve the standard of living of the Sekoci Village community,” Yurisna explained.
Sigit added that it is time for universities to help the community by scientific competence in informing the public using social media platforms.
Meanwhile, the Head of Sekoci Village, Suwarisno, SH, expressed his gratitude to the FISIP UMSU lecturer team for being willing to come and help the village and hopes that in the future, Sekoci Village will continue to synergize with Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra in community empowerment.
“We thank you for the concern of the FISIP UMSU lecturers, and I realize that we need to network with each other. Hopefully, this will be the first step for us to continue working together to advance our village,” he said. (*)
