Three FISIP UMSU Lecturers Hold PKM Manage BumDes in Simalungun
Medan: Three lecturers from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (FISIP UMSU) carried out Community Service (PKM) at Nagori Totap Majawa Village Hall by involving three villages, namely Nagori Totap Majawa, Nagori Marubun Jaya and Nagori Parbalogan in Simalungun in helping human resources in the village in managing Bumdes. Jehan Ridho Izharsyah, S.Sos, M.Si explained that Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages is a milestone that is a means for the government to advance villages through Village Funds and Village Allocation Funds.
“As an instrument of village autonomy is to encourage the village government to develop the potential of the village by the capabilities and authority of the village, while as an instrument of community welfare, namely by involving the community in managing BUMDes and as a program designed by the government to improve the standard of living of a better society,” explained Jehan.
Abrar Adhani, S.Sos, M.I.Kom added that later, we will help the community in terms of packaging and informing products or mapping the potential of what is in the village.
“Providing an understanding to the community about BUMDes based on regulations determined by the central government then how to analyze the potential of the village that can be developed for BUMDes superior commodities,” said Abrar.
Faizal Hamzah Lubis, S.Sos, M.I.Kom added that the role of social media in publicizing the potential of the community activity fund area is vital. Especially in the current era of technological development, we want to inform the development of the village and the potential of the village so that it can be known to the broader community.
Meanwhile, Pangulu Totap Majawa Erlisa Sinaga thanked the FISIP UMSU lecturer team for being willing to come and help the village.
“We realize that we need to network with each other. Hopefully, this will be the first step for us to continue working together to advance our village,” he said.
FISIP UMSU Lecturer Sigit Hardiyanto, Fauzan from FISIP UMSU Students, Village Panguludari, several BUMDes Managers, and other communities attended this activity. Participants seemed very enthusiastic about participating in this series of activities.
