The Deliserdang Regency Government is ready to support the implementation of the Muhammadiyah Congress and the development of an integrated campus of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) located in Sampali Village, covering an area of about 25 hectares.
“We feel proud, and that pride means that we also support the development of the UMSU integrated campus, which will also be the location for the 49th Muhammadiyah Congress in 2027,” said the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare of the Deliserdang Regency Government Drs. H. Citra Effendi Capah, M.SP when receiving an audience with the Rector of UMSU, Prof.Dr: Agussani, MAP at the Deliserdang Regent’s office in Lubuk Pakam, Thursday (7/3). Several regional apparatus officials of Deliserdang Regency accompanied the assistant.
The Chairman of BPH UMSU, Dr. Bahril Datuk, MM, Member. Prof. Dr. Nawir Yuslem, MA, Expert Staff, Prof. Dr. Hj. Sabrina, and faculty leaders and bureau heads were also present.
Drs. H. Citra Effendi Capah, M.SP, expressed his pride in the existence of UMSU land in Deliserdang Regency, which will become an educational location and later be used as the location of the Congress. UMSU is a large campus with superior accreditation, and its existence is expected to improve the quality of education in Deliserdang.
Furthermore, the Muhammadiyah Congress is a big event that will have a multiplier effect on regional and community development. For this reason, the Regency Government will also prepare to take advantage of the grand event of the Muhammadiyah Congress to be of maximum benefit both in terms of organization and regional interests.
“If we state that we are proud, it must mean that we also support; the form of support is in process. Bappeda can plan with collaboration related to infrastructure, not only for Muhammadiyah but also for the benefit of Deliserdang,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Rector said that UMSU wanted to build an auditorium and other campus facilities to organize the Muhammadiyah congress and develop an integrated campus. The construction of an integrated campus land in Sampali is still in process.
“Meanwhile, a master plan is being prepared, which is expected to be completed soon so that development steps can begin,” he said.
He hopes that the Deliserdang Regency Government can provide support, especially for the repair and widening of the entrance road and river repair. Improve road and bridge facilities to the location is needed to smooth traffic flow to and from the campus.
Furthermore, UMSU and Deliserdang Regency Government have been cooperating in education. The Faculty of Medicine of UMSU makes Amri Tambunan Hospital a teaching hospital.
The submission of the UMSU integrated campus development plan file marked the audience. Furthermore, the Rector invited a review of the integrated campus land.
