The Regent of Serdang Bedagai H. Dharma Wijaya attended in Public Lecture event held by The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (FISIP UMSU). The event is ceremonial for opening the students’ internship seminar provided by FISIP UMSU on Saturday (15/1) at the UMSU Auditorium – Jl. Kapten Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan.
Attended by the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani, M.AP, and their staff, Regent of Serdang Bedagai H. Dharma Wijaya, Dean of FISIP UMSU Dr. Arifin Saleh, S.Sos, M.SP, the Vice Deans and Leaders of the UMSU FISIP Study Program and 400 students who will attend the seminar on the results of on-the-job training field introduction supplies (PKL/PPL).
On that occasion, Prof. Dr. Agussani, M.AP, saluted FISIP UMSU for Excellent accreditation for the Communication Department. “I am sure with students who attended this morning, this is the prosperity and resilience for the Social Welfare and Government Administration Department to acquire excellent accreditation,” he said. UMSU Rector expects H. Dharma Wijaya will motivate FISIP UMSU students in the future.
A highly motivated and easygoing public lecture delivered by Dharma Wijaya. The Regent of Serdang Bedagai told about his struggles and success. At the same time, say, “I became Regent because of my mother’s prayer, and the love of our parents is the key to success. That’s the experience I’ve had.” In addition, hard work and good intentions are also success factors, so he advised, “Keep working hard, don’t relax, keep going, whatever you are trying to do, the important thing is that you have good intentions.”
The Regent of Serdang Bedagai also hopes that after graduating, he does not immediately think about registering as a civil servant but must dare to be an entrepreneur. If you want to enter politics, just try to work until you are successful, and don’t forget to socialize,” he said.
On that occasion, the Regent was also open if UMSU students wanted to complete an Internship (KKN) in Serdang Bedagai. There are problems in Serdang Bedagai that students can solve in agriculture, plantations, animal husbandry, and fisheries.
