The Observatory of Astronomy at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (OIF UMSU) received a special visit from a Malaysian astronomy expert, Dr. Kassim Bahali, with his wife, whom Dr. Arwin Juli Rakhmadi Butar-Butar, MA, and the UMSU OIF Team welcomed. Sunday (12/03).
Dr. Kassim Bahali is a Malaysian Falak expert member of the Falak Syar’i Association of Malaysia and the State of Malacca. One of Kassim Bahali’s contributions to astronomy (astronomy) is his research on the beginning of dawn (dawn)..
In his response and first visit to OIF UMSU, Dr. Kassim expressed his admiration for the rapid development of OIF UMSU.
“Before this, I could only see OIF UMSU from afar, but with my presence here, I am pretty excited to see such development before my eyes. Thank God, we see much progress, “he explained..
Dr. Kassim Bahali previously was a resource person for the Observatory and Astronomy Discussion (DOA) activities held by OIF UMSU. He also believes OIF UMSU has made an enormous contribution to society.
“I believe OIF UMSU has made an enormous contribution, especially to the people in Medan and its surroundings, even sharing with other friendly countries, as I saw in the broadcast earlier,” he added..
Dr. Kassim Bahali also has a private observatory called the Ulil Albab Observatory, which is located in Malaysia. In response, he finally gave his congratulations and prayers to OIF UMSU.

In a special visit from afternoon to evening, Dr. Kasim Bahali was invited to tour the activities and facilities at OIF UMSU and the programs being carried out by OIF UMSU.
