UMSU welcomed 40 12th-grade students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Labuhan Batu Utara (Labura) to visit and learn more about UMSU and PPL Keagamaan Multimedia. The visit was held on Tuesday (6/2) at OIF and UMSU Main Campus.
The students, who were accompanied by the Principal of MAN 2 Labura, Nasrah Bina Sejahtera, S.Pd.I., M.S, and 5 teachers, first visited the UMSU Falak Science Observatory (OIF), which is located in the Postgraduate Building Jl. Gedung Arca. They were introduced to astronomy and tried out the observatory equipment.
One of the students, Nurul Rahmadani Harahap, admitted that she was very happy to be able to visit UMSU and see the facilities firsthand. “I am thrilled. The campus is wide and amazing; earlier. Earlier in OIF, we could see the sun from binoculars. UMSU is not canned. It’s extraordinary,” he said excitedly.
Likewise, Habibi Khairul Siregar felt a lot of knowledge and experience he gained during this visit, “Very amazed by UMSU’s welcome; we were told what we did not know so that we could learn and experience,” he said.
Then, Muhammad Syahfarudin, one of the MAN 2 Labura teacher representatives, said UMSU was an extraordinary campus with superior accreditation and qualified facilities.
“This activity is related to their subject, namely multimedia, and so it is directly here. This is only one class; hopefully, the next class can also visit,” said Syahfarudin.
He hopes that the students who attend can share the experiences of other friends about UMSU and can study at this campus of champions. The visit, which was accompanied by FEB lecturer Willy Yusnandar, SE, M.Si, continued to the broadcast studio and got to know the library in the UMSU Main Building.
