Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) Rector Prof. Dr. Akrim, M.Pd. welcomed a delegation from the North Sumatra Regional Board of the Indonesian Notary Association (Ikatan Notaris Indonesia/INI) during a courtesy meeting held on Monday (June 15) in the Rector’s Meeting Room at the UMSU Main Campus on Kapten Muchtar Basri Street, Medan.
The meeting focused on exploring collaboration between UMSU and the Indonesian Notary Association in organizing a public lecture and professional training program for students and legal practitioners.
The planned program is scheduled to take place at the UMSU Graduate School on June 27 and will bring together Master of Notarial Law students, newly appointed notaries, and members of the Indonesian Notary Association as participants.
Representing UMSU were Vice Rector III, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudianto, M.Si.; Director of the Graduate School, Prof. Dr. H. Triono Eddy, S.H., M.Hum.; Head of the Master of Notarial Law Program, Dr. M. Syukran Yamin Lubis, S.H., M.Kn.; and Program Secretary, Dr. Onny Medaline, S.H., M.Kn.
The delegation from the North Sumatra Regional Board of the Indonesian Notary Association (INI) included Ikhsan Lubis (Regional Chair), Nova Sri Bulan Nasution (Head of Education and Training), Sudiharto (Deputy Secretary), Ahmad Juliady (Head of Organizational Affairs), Dewi Kartini Batubara (Treasurer), Iin Indriany (Deputy Secretary), and Mega Maghdalena (Head of Internship Affairs).
Through this meeting, both institutions expressed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in legal education, professional development, and competency enhancement, particularly in the field of notarial studies. The partnership is expected to provide valuable academic and practical learning opportunities for students while supporting the continuous professional development of notaries in North Sumatra.
