The benefits of character education are:

1. Create a unique character

Character education’s importance is everything attached to an individual and tends to exist. Therefore, character education forms individual tendencies to have good character and be helpful to others. Therefore, character education for teenagers is essential.

2. Allows individuals to appreciate others more

People with strong personalities can respect each other more. Even if one fails to respect one another, there is an intense presence of character building.

3. Building an honest and better nation for the next generation

Strong character makes a person strong and stable. This is very important for the nation and the life of the nation. Because this decision involves high personal integrity, this integrity is essential to be formed with character education so that it can be high. That way, one can become a good nation for the next generation and protect the country and its values of integrity.

4. Train students’ intelligence and morality

The benefits of early character education, besides being able to shape and strengthen one’s personality, also help improve and train character education participants mentally and morally, preventing the madness of people with bad morals.

Improving an individual’s mind and morals can create a conducive atmosphere and prevent division.

5. Knowing and understanding the personality of others

They are talking about identity, not only teenagers but also adults who cannot find their own identity. Character building allows you to recognize and get to know each other’s characters more easily.

The values of character education that can be applied from an early age are:

1. Religion
Religious character can be achieved by obeying the teachings of one’s religion, being tolerant of other religious practices, and living in harmony with adherents of other religions. Examples of everyday practice that can be applied are doing the Dhuha prayer and reading the Qur’an before starting lessons or other prayers, depending on the student’s religion.

2. Honesty
After all, being honest will always make you trustworthy. Ethical behavior in everyday life prevails everywhere. For example, don’t cheat on homework or tests; always be open with your parents.

3. Tolerance
We live in a ‘Bhineka Tunggal Ika’ country, so it is essential to be tolerant towards other Indonesians. An example of everyday behavior is not expressing opinions above the group’s interests.

4. Discipline
The disciplined nature of people allows them to exhibit orderly behavior and follow various rules and regulations. An everyday example that we can do is follow the rules of how to dress modestly at school.

5. Hard work
Indonesians spare no effort and enthusiasm in everything they do. The nature of hard work is shown by always being earnest in overcoming various obstacles and completing tasks as well as possible.

6. Creative
In the era of globalization, creative thinking is needed, so it is necessary to create innovative works that are useful for many people without being bound by frames.

7. Independence
People should be able to do everything independently, so it is challenging to depend on others to get things done. An example of everyday behavior is being able to do your own thing if you can do it yourself.

8. Democracy
Indonesian society must be democratic. A simple example is to balance the rights and obligations of ourselves and others.

9. Curiosity
We are curious and always want to know more about what we have and can learn. An example of what we can do is keep studying and be diligent in acquiring good skills.

10. National Spirit
The attitude of the national spirit is shown by always prioritizing the interests of the Indonesian nation and state above personal interests. For example, creating achievements
