The Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), Prof. Dr. Agussani M.AP, released as many as 20 students from the Faculty of Engineering to participate in a Certified Internship Program at the Main Campus UMSU (Saturday, 8/1).
Prof. Dr. Agussani M.AP stated students would be interned at PT. Waruna Sipiyad Indonesia and PT. Adibrata Unggul Jayapada for one semester. This activity improves competence and abilities, increases knowledge, and applies it.
Agussani added that UMSU students must be able to answer challenges with high competitiveness and new innovations. This activity also supports the government’s program for the Merdeka Learning Independent Campus. UMSU, the only Private University accredited A on Sumatra Island, has currently implemented 8 MBKM programs regulated by the government.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Munawar Alfansuri, ST MT, said that the 20 students of the Engineering Faculty who participated in the Certified Internship Program came from the third semester, fifth semester, and seventh semester.
Present at this release, Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, SH, Dean of the Munawar Engineering Faculty, Alfansyury Siregar, ST, MT, Deputy Dean I, Dr. Ade Faisal, ST, MT, Deputy Dean III Affandi, ST, MT, Head of Study Programs within the Faculty of Engineering, lecturers and 20 internship students.
