Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara welcomes the study tour visit and friendship at SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru. The visit was held on Monday (28/3) at the UMSU Auditorium – Jl. Muchtar Basri No. 3 Medan.
The Principal of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru, Sri Wahyuni, MM, along with the best ranks and students of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru, was greeted directly by the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP. UMSU tried its best to receive the visit because every guest who attended was the pride of UMSU.
Seeing the achievements and achievements of UMSU, the Principal of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru, Sri Wahyuni, MM, motivate the students so that they would not hesitate to continue their dreams of higher education.
Sri Wahyuni said, “My dear students, don’t hesitate to continue your dream of going to university. UMSU is the right choice, with all the magnificent facilities, and all faculties almost have A accreditation. Moreover, UMSU is one of the private universities in Sumatera.” She is also proud of UMSU, which has numerous achievements.
On that occasion, Prof. Agussani briefly introduced UMSU’s journey and achievements. He said that UMSU was founded in 1957, and everything started from scratch with the vision and mission of becoming a national and international university.
After a long journey, UMSU finally became the only private Muhammadiyah university in Sumatera with A accreditation. While internationally, it has won the QS Star Star 4. This achievement proves that, in managing higher education. UMSU is working, organizing, and creating the best generation academically and creatively.
Prof. Agussani said, “We are not only focused on education. We certainly support and facilitate youngsters who have creativity. We appreciate all creativity, and there are bands and dances. UMSU fully supports the interests and talents of students because we continue to strive for UMSU graduates to be ready to compete.
.” He also introduced 9 undergraduate study programs that could be chosen by SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru students, namely Medicine, Islam, Social and Political Sciences, Teacher Training and Education, Agriculture, Computers and Information Technology, Economics and Business, Law and Engineering. Almost all study programs have A accreditation and Excellent.
In addition to undergraduate study programs, UMSU has accredited Master Programs (S2) and Doctorate Programs (S3). Furthermore, all faculties are equipped with adequate facilities such as Commercial Radio, Photography and Videography Laboratory, Hospital, Astronomy Observatory (OIF), and so on to support student creativity.
The Astronomy Observatory is one of the flagships of UMSU, and we have planned to open this study program. God willing, in 2035, we have also designed to create an integrated campus covering an area of 22 hectares in Sempali, Deli Serdang, as a practice area for agricultural students,” said Prof Agussani.
SMA N 10 Pekanbaru students were greeted with opening dance offerings from the UMSU Dance UKM and entertainment from the UMSU Surya Suara Band.
