SatuMu of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PW Muhammadiyah) held a socialization and technical guidance session at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) Auditorium on Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan, on Monday morning (July 27).

The event was attended by UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Akrim, M.Pd.; Secretary and Deputy Secretary of PW Muhammadiyah North Sumatra, Dr. Irwan Syahputra, M.A., and Drs. Mutholib, M.M.; Vice Rector for Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK), Dr. Marah Doly Nasution; Vice Rector for Research, Community Service, and Internationalization, Dr. Rudianto, M.Si.; deans and bureau heads; the SatuMu team of PW Muhammadiyah North Sumatra; and approximately 400 UMSU education personnel.

As a pioneer in implementing SatuMu within Muhammadiyah higher education institutions (PTMA), UMSU is expected to make a significant contribution to the successful implementation of SatuMu across North Sumatra.

UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Akrim, M.Pd., explained that SatuMu is an integrated digital platform designed to support Muhammadiyah organizational governance and establish One Muhammadiyah Data through the integration of membership, organizational, dues, and other services.

“UMSU must be part of the effort to make SatuMu a success. Therefore, the SatuMu program needs the support of all lecturers and education personnel by promptly migrating to the E-KTAM,” said Prof. Akrim.

Prof. Dr. Akrim also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP Muhammadiyah), PW Muhammadiyah North Sumatra, and the Council for Library and Information (Majelis Pustaka dan Informasi) for supporting and assisting UMSU in introducing SatuMu across the university.

Meanwhile, Secretary of PW Muhammadiyah North Sumatra, Dr. Irwan Syahputra, M.A., explained that SatuMu provides an integrated membership management system extending down to the grassroots branch level. Every Muhammadiyah member is assigned a unique ID linked to their membership profile, organizational activities, and membership dues.

SatuMu is part of Muhammadiyah’s modern, tiered organizational governance system, including digital mechanisms for establishing and ratifying new organizational structures, membership transfers, and the delegation of authority. Through SatuMu, the collection and distribution of membership dues can also be managed transparently and verified.

“As the host of the 49th Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Congress, the SatuMu program must be implemented successfully,” emphasized Irwan Syahputra, accompanied by Deputy Chair of the North Sumatra PW Muhammadiyah Council for Library and Information, Eko Purwanto, who subsequently joined the North Sumatra SatuMu team.

A similar message was conveyed by Deputy Secretary of PW Muhammadiyah North Sumatra, Drs. Mutholib, M.M., regarding members’ obligations. These include adhering to Islamic teachings, maintaining the good name of and remaining loyal to Muhammadiyah and its mission, upholding Muhammadiyah’s identity, beliefs, and ideals, complying with Muhammadiyah regulations and decisions, supporting and respecting Muhammadiyah’s interests, paying membership dues, and making infaq contributions.

“Through the SatuMu program, membership dues will be managed more transparently, with distributions allocated appropriately to the Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PPM) at 5%, Regional Leadership (PWM) at 10%, Regional Leadership at the Regency/City level (PDM) at 15%, Branch Leadership (PCM) at 25%, and Village/Sub-Branch Leadership (PRM) at 45%,” explained Mutholib.

Deputy Secretary of the Central Muhammadiyah Council for Library and Information (MPI PP Muhammadiyah) and member of the SatuMu socialization team, M. Amir Nashiruddin, M.Si., expressed his appreciation to UMSU for initiating the SatuMu socialization and technical guidance program.

“UMSU has become a pioneer in implementing SatuMu across PTMA institutions,” said Amir Nashiruddin.

Amir Nashiruddin, who also serves as Deputy Chair of MPI PP Muhammadiyah, explained that E-KTAM cardholders will receive various benefits in the future. The Muhammadiyah Central Executive is currently exploring partnerships with numerous companies across Indonesia to enable the Muhammadiyah Card to be used at various public facilities and services nationwide.
