UMSU Electrical Engineering Study Program Conducts PPKM for Automatic Adzan Clock
Medan, SDMtimes.com – The Electrical Engineering Study Program of the Faculty of Engineering UMSU carried out the Muhammadiyah Development Partnership Program (PKPM) training on the design of an automatic adzan clock for the mosques of Masjid Taqwa Pulo Brayan, East Medan District and Masjid Taqwa Mekar Melati, Medan Perjuangan District, Sunday (4/7/2021).
This activity was carried out by the UMSU electrical engineering study program service team led by Faisal Irsan Pasaribu ST.MT. with research members Ir. Abdul Azis Hutasuhut, M.M and Noorly Evalina ST.MT.
Faisal Irsan explained that the automatic clock design with solar cell energy backup (utilization of solar energy) is very efficient. Especially if the muadzin is not in the mosque, when it is time to pray, this tool will automatically call to prayer.
“This tool is handy to use because this tool is also equipped with solar cells, where this tool also continues to function when there is a blackout,” he said.
“This tool can also be a business opportunity for the youth present here, but of course, it is a charity business, not a commercial one,” said Faisal Irsan.
Muhammadiyah Youth, the Mosque Management Board, and the local mosque congregation also attended the training and handover of this tool. (*)
