The Graduate School of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) distributed 125 Ramadan packages for the year 1446 H to the local community around the campus on Tuesday (March 18) at the UMSU Graduate School Campus, Jl. Denai No.217, Tegal Sari Mandala, Medan.
This activity is an annual event that is part of UMSU’s efforts to strengthen silaturahmi (social bonds) and share happiness during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event was attended by various parties, including UMSU Board of Trustees (BPH) Prof. Dr. Ida Hanifah, S.H., M.H., UMSU Vice-Rector I Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum, UMSU Graduate School Vice-Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adi Mansar, SH., M.Hum, and Danramil 0201-03/MD, Captain Arm Yani Darma Putra.
In his speech, UMSU Vice-Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum, emphasized the importance of community support for the existence of UMSU Graduate School.
“The existence of the Graduate School is, in part, thanks to the support of the local community. UMSU also hopes for continued support from you so that UMSU can continue to grow and develop,” he said.
He also mentioned that this sharing activity is part of UMSU’s efforts to build good relationships with the community.
“Silaturahmi is not just for Ramadan. UMSU strives to share with the surrounding community. We hope this activity is blessed, and in the future, it can be even better. UMSU thanks the local community. Hopefully, UMSU’s presence will be even better and appreciated,” he added.
The Vice-Rector also requested prayers from the community for the development of the UMSU Integrated Campus in Saintis Sampali Village, which will serve as the venue for the 2027 Muhammadiyah Muktamar.
Meanwhile, Captain Arm Yani Darma Putra, Danramil 0201-03/MD, appreciated the activity, which has become an annual tradition for the UMSU Graduate School. “Thank you very much, UMSU. We are so happy and grateful because this has become an annual tradition for the UMSU Graduate School. Alhamdulillah, the Graduate School has also upgraded to the next level. Thank you for UMSU’s significant contributions to the surrounding community. I am proud to have the UMSU Graduate School in the Denai area,” he said.
This activity is expected to continue in the coming years and provide even greater benefits to the surrounding community. The UMSU Graduate School is committed to continuing to improve its involvement in social activities to support the well-being of the community.
