The Library of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) received First Place for Best Instagram Management and earned the Second Runner-Up Award for Best Website at the 2026 FPPTMA Awards, held at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang on Thursday (June 4).
In the Best Instagram category, the UMSU Library outperformed libraries from Muhammadiyah universities across Indonesia, including the Library of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, which placed second, and the Library of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, which secured third place.
Meanwhile, in the Best Website category, the UMSU Library was recognized as Second Runner-Up, demonstrating its excellence amid strong competition among libraries of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah higher education institutions nationwide.
This achievement serves as a strong motivation for the UMSU Library to continue enhancing the quality of its digital services, expanding access to academic information, and delivering innovative and educational content for the university community and the public.
The awards were presented during SILASMA 2026, a national forum that brought together librarians, academics, and library managers from Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah universities throughout Indonesia. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration, encourage innovation, and accelerate the digital transformation of academic libraries.
