The Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Agusani, M.AP, made a silaturahim visit and attended the breaking fast event organized by Pangdam I/BB on Friday (March 14) at Jl. Jenderal Gatot Subroto.
The Rector of UMSU attended along with other invited guests, including religious leaders, community figures, and other members of society. Rector Prof. Dr. Agusani, M.AP was also asked to give a speech.
During the event, the Rector expressed his hope that the silaturahim fostered during the breaking fast organized by Kodam I Bukit Barisan would strengthen and inspire a sense of togetherness.
The event also included speeches from various representatives, including Ridho Irawan from the Student Alliance Body (BEM), Zullifkar Abubakar from the media, Dr. Indra Wahidin, Chairman of Walubi Medan, and the prominent religious leader of North Sumatra, Buya Prof. Dr. KH. Amiruddin MS, M.A., MBA., Ph.D.
Meanwhile, Pangdam I/BB, Major General TNI Rio Firdianto, in his speech, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all the guests who attended the event. “The presence of all elements of society at this event demonstrates that togetherness and synergy are crucial in maintaining harmony and stability in this region,” he said.
Major General Rio hopes that the contribution, collaboration, and support from all elements of society towards Kodam I/BB will further strengthen relationships and build better communication in creating a safe, peaceful, and harmonious environment.
The event proceeded in an orderly, respectful, and smooth manner, concluding with a Ramadan sermon by Al Ustadz H. Susanto Nur Asyqi, S.T.Hi., S.Pd.I.
