The Institute for Research and Community Service of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (LP2M UMSU) collaborated with the University of Islamic Science Malaysia (USIM) to carry out an international community service activity entitled ‘Menderma Terhadap Sesama di Panti As Orphanage as a Form of Fostering the Spirit of International Collaboration between Universities’. The activity was held on Wednesday (26/9) at the Pusat Jagaan Anak Yatim Walidaina (Pujaywa) Kampung Gedang Pantai, Negeri Sembilan Malaysia.
This activity received full support from the UMS Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, M.AP, towards UMSU World Class University and Internationalisation.
The Chairperson of the Institute for Research and Community Service Assoc attended the activity.Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fitra Zambak, ST, M.Sc and his team Assoc.Prof. Dr. Muhammad Said Siregar, M.Si, Dr. Muhammad Irfan Nasution, MM, Dr. Sigit Hardiyanto, M.Sc. Sigit Hardiyanto, M.I.Kom, Dr. Josep Hadipramana, M.Sc, dr. Eka Febriyanti, M.Gizi, Rizky Azura, S.Pd and Head of Departement Electrical and Electronic Engineering Faculty of Engineering and Alam Bina USIM Prof. Dr. Ir. Hafizal Mohamad. Before the activity was carried out, it began with a permit to the orphan care centre walidaina. This community service activity began with an opening prayer then continued with other activities with orphanage children.
The Head of LP2M UMSU said that the collaboration that was built was one of the keys for UMSU in facing the dynamics of the times while improving the quality of the chess darma of Muhammadiyah universities which could be actualised through cooperation between foreign universities by forming community service activities in order to increase the social responsibility of universities to society globally.The administrator of the Walidaina orphan care centre, Muhammad Zatullah Kamarudin, thanked UMSU-USIM for coming to provide insight support to orphanage children. He expressed hope that this activity will not only provide immediate benefits but also create a positive and sustainable impact on the orphanage and the community it serves.
