UMSU has achieved the 2nd national ranking in receiving the most assistance from the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) 2023, provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
Alhamdulillah, out of the 18 proposed projects, finally, 17 proposals were selected for funding. The number of proposals receiving funding positions UMSU as the university receiving the most funding among both public and private universities nationwide,” said Dewi Andriani, SE, MM, the Chairperson of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Business Incubator (Puskibi), at the UMSU campus on Tuesday (June 20).
As for the university receiving the most funding nationwide, it is occupied by Universitas Negeri Riau, with a total of 18 proposals. In the LLDIKTI Sumut region itself, UMSU ranks first above Unimed with 12 proposals and USU with 7 proposals.
“Within the scope of the Higher Education Service Institution in North Sumatra, UMSU is the university that becomes the champion or the one receiving the most funding from P2MW,” she explained.
UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, congratulated and appreciated Puskibi and the students who successfully passed the P2MW selection. The achievement is a source of pride and is expected to motivate and inspire students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit.
According to the letter signed by the Acting Director of Learning and Student Affairs, Sri Gunani Partiwi, regarding the recipients of the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) 2023, it is explained that the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs has conducted the selection of substance and budget justifications submitted by universities and students who have passed the selection for the improvement of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in universities through P2MW 2023. Furthermore, the universities that have successfully passed must complete the contact form and participate in the technical guidance activities (Bimtek) to implement P2MW 2023.
