4 FKIP UMSU International KKN Students Welcomed by Indonesian Consul General Davao City Philippines
A total of 4 students of the International KKN delegation of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (FKIP UMSU), accompanied by the Dean of FKIP Dra. Hj Syamsuyurnita, M.Pd and Vice Dean I, Dr. Dewi Kesuma Nasution, M.Hum, were welcomed directly by the Indonesian Consul General – Davao City, Wednesday (6/9) at the Consulate General’s Meeting Room Davao City.
The visit of students, the Dean, and Vice Dean I of FKIP UMSU in the Philippines was in the context of carrying out International Education Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities at the Indonesian School Davao – Philippines. The FKIP UMSU delegation in a meeting as well as friendship was received directly by the Indonesian Consul General – Davao City, Dr. Achmad Djatmiko, M.A., Pensosbud Function Officer, Umi Yanti Febriana Silalahi and Non-Diplomatic Staff.
The Dean of FKIP UMSU, Dra. Syamsuyurnita conveyed her aims and objectives: establishing cooperation in the International Education KKN program at the Indonesian School Davao and opportunities to do KKN in other Islamic schools.
Consul General Djatmiko welcomed the cooperation in question, and he said it was one of their duties as representatives of Indonesia in Davao City in the field of Education.
“I also hope that the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra can provide scholarships for students of Indonesian School Davao to continue their studies at the undergraduate level as well as other programs to increase Filipino students’ knowledge of Indonesian arts, culture, and language,” said by the Indonesian Consul General – Davao City, Dr. Achmad Djatmik.
