Thousands of senior high school and vocational students (SMA/SMK/MA) enthusiastically visited the booth of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) at the North Sumatra Higher Education Expo, held at Manhattan Mall Medan, Tuesday–Thursday (February 10–12).
The exhibition was organized by the North Sumatra Provincial Education Office in collaboration with Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi Wilayah I Sumatera Utara (LLDikti Region I North Sumatra) and was officially opened by the Head of LLDikti North Sumatra, Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D.
The event aimed to motivate and provide insights to high school and vocational students about pursuing higher education. A total of 20 universities participated, with approximately 1,000 students from across North Sumatra attending each day.
UMSU’s booth, featuring advanced equipment such as a telescope from its Astronomy Observatory (Ilmu Falak) and creative student products under the coordination of PUSKIIBI UMSU, successfully attracted significant attention. The booth was visited directly by the Head of LLDikti, Dra. Faiza, along with teachers and more than 1,000 students per day.
Visitors received information about studying at UMSU, participated in national insight quiz games, and won attractive prizes prepared by the committee. Many students expressed strong interest in enrolling at UMSU, citing its Excellent Accreditation status as a key factor in their decision.
